Matt is a hook-machine, and a riff monster. You can hear The Beatles, Beach Boys, Metallica, Nirvana, The Deftones, and more in his writing, but he's never derivative or larcenous about it. I LOVE THIS BAND!!

They literally can re-spark your heart. Several years ago I found them, and they restored my faith in the future of rock music. This guy Matt has a very special gift. Had he been born 30 years earlier, he'd be a household name. I think he's channeling the same rock "muse" that gave us the classics, Chuck Berry to Keef to James Hetfield. No other musical mind is putting out anything in this genre that's anywhere near this good. New stuff is coming soon. Hang tough and long live DPU!
