I'm renting one of these and boy is it beautiful. the steering is buttery smooth, the ride is like being on a cloud, comfortable seating, amazing interior. Chrysler you've out done yourself great job
I'm renting one for a week (got a free upgrade), since my old daily driver is currently out of commission. I was pleasantly surprised at the features offered in this car. It's nice to not have to fumble for keys to open the door or start the car. The gear selector knob and parking brake switch are pretty cool, and it's been fun playing with the UConnect. The one thing I will say is that the transmission feels a little hesitant and jerky at times, and the brakes are also a bit grabby. Otherwise, it's been nice.
+hoopfan71 I love the keyless entry I'm gonna be sad when I have to go back to my daily driver and have to dig for my key again I've only had the 200 for about 2 days and already I feel spoiled lol. You are absolutely right about the breaks. The shift knob is a bit weird to get used to after a while you get the hang of it as for the engine the 2.4 is plenty enough pep to get on the highway at lease for me if you need or want more power go for the V6
Yeah, the 2.4L has just enough power to make the driver feel confident when changing lanes to pass. I'm used to driving Honda/Acura cars, albeit older Hondas, and I will say that the visibility in the 200 is not like what I experience in my Hondas. It's not terrible, but I've found myself checking my blind spots more frequently and cautiously than I would in my Hondas.
+hoopfan71 Same here my 2011 Malibu has more visibility than the 200. Now I'm not saying the 200 is a bad midsize I just Think their are a few key points Chrysler missed
The only reason you buy a 200C is for the 295hp V6 that is a sub 6 sec 0-60 car for mid 20s now with incentives. That's what makes the car special. Skip the 4cyl
Probably the biggest reason this car didn't sell was Chrysler's history. They've been making crappy small and mid-size cars for 20 years that weren't reliable. Consumers weren't willing to give them another chance, especially in light of all of the truly great choices in this segment.
KyleTVProductions Exactly, that's why they should produce good Chrysler SUVs to change opinion, because it's still a recognizable brand worth saving. If they keep making 2 models only, brand public recognition will fall and name can go to trash. But instead, FCA prefers to sell foreign, italian low recognizable brands in the US at any cost.
I have the 2016 Chrysler 200 Anniversary Edition with the V6. And on my long trips on the interstate, I've got the MPG up to 36.8! In my experience, this car is happiest when it's driving on the interstate. It's the best vehicle I've ever drove, and they are reasonably cheap. I've seen 4 cylinder models of the 200 go for as low as 18,000!
I have 13,107 miles on my vehicle now and there was one instance where my vehicle revved a bit too high for a few minutes but went away after the vehicle warmed up. And when I'm driving down the road sometimes the car feels like it is jerking back and forth ever so slightly. It might be because of the 9 speed transmission it has and that the transmission has to warm up before it operates smoothly. But those are my only complaints I have about the vehicle. I got my MPG to 40.6 on a trip a while back, beating my previous record, and that is really impressive for a V6. The seats are comfortable, the touchscreen to control everything is super convenient, and my vehicle has paddle shifters which are pretty fun to use. So overall, I am still very happy with my 200.
I love my 200S. Never had a problem in 2 years this March. The interior is also strong. That was not mentioned in this review how durable all the interior parts are.

I got the limited. It does what I need it to do, get good MPG while being super comfy. Also the acceleration is not bad for the base engine mid-size sedan. Since the gearing is so short, you can break the tires loose.
Same here man. I got same car, but to be honest I am really scared this transmission issue, and mine is so shaky. And looks like in 5 years this car will lose 70% of its value. Thinking to get rid it

It annoys me so much that Chrysler gets a bad rep because of their name. I buy their products and they have proven to be comfortable and reliable yet people still deem them to be bad cars and if there were just willing to drive one then they would realize what they are missing out on. Also, I don't like how car reviewers are hesitant to recommend their cars when they clearly like them.
One of my friend owns this and I took it for a ride. Man it's a great ride and I have no clue how this failed. Super smooth. Enough power. Great comfort.
That V6 sounds oddly powerful for a vehicle that is so focused on fuel economy. Is it only available with the AWD system? What are the torque figures? I can't imagine there's much low end torque with a vehicle that is obviously attacking the Camry rather than the Mazda6. Does the vehicle try to keep around 1500 RPMs with all those gears?
I always buy the American choice because I am one. Im retired from Chrysler and fought with management starting in 72. all though Chrysler crashed I knew it was going to back in 1972 and am saying to day "Buy american while you still can" ; -)

I have the fully loaded 200c AWD. My friend owns a Lexus and says my car is one heck of a deal with all the options. Basically wasted his money on a overpriced Toyota.
I also had the 200 Anniversary edition with the V6 engine. After many many years with it (since early 2018), and not a single problem or accident over the years we spent together, my 200 just gave out last week, so me and my husband made the hard financial decision to trade it in for something newer with less mileage. It had about 77k miles which is not that bad for its years, it just got a bit old and the engine had a problem that was a bit too expensive for me. It was cheaper to get a new car, so we did and I'm super excited about it, but I will always smile when I see a 2nd generation 200 out there. It was the first car I bought with my first job fresh out of HS. Took me everywhere! So many good memories in it. (Some people will think I'm crazy but I even gave it a hug and thanked it for everything when I left it at the dealership lol) I hope the dealership gives it a good fix and finds it a good new owner that treats it as good as I always tried to treat it, cause I truly loved that car... So many people call them trash but I loved mine so so much! I'm gonna miss my boy, but off to new adventures for both of us! ❤🩹🚗
People claim this car has quality issues but will fall over themselves to buy a Subaru that will have a blown head gasket and malfunctioning CVT at under 100,000 miles.
The 200 will have problems way before 50,000 miles my dude. XD. Also who buys Subaru's? The demographic is racers and modders. The 200 was mostly bought by middle aged and retired persons. So it wasn't because the demo was driving them hard.
This company is so lame. Now they are discontinuing all sedans except for the 300 and Charger? How is it that every other company that had compact and midsize cars has been able to make a profit yet these guys can't? Holy crap. Have fun with your shitty crossovers.
+Ronald Nolan and that's the real truth behind it. for example I would never buy a fugly sentry over a 200. its a new car and people have to them around for a while before giving them a real chance. the same thing happened with Hyundai and Kia. Chrysler and Marchionne have to learn to stick with it.
@@victorsaenz9452 I know because it’s an automatic though I’ve owned mine so long, the thing is touchy. You can’t run the transmission out of turn or it will jerk and it’s just bad for the car. I’ve whipped that car like a rented mule and I know it’s still reliable.
The electronic gear selector actually makes sense. Why have a big handle sticking out of the console and getting in the way when you can have a smaller, less intrusive control and thereby create room for other things. Imagine that all cars had always been equipped with electronic gear selectors, then someone came along and came out with a car with the kind of shifter you see today; they'd be a laughing stock.
It'll be a maintenance money pit. If you want one either lease one or if you buy one be sure to shop around online for an extended MANUFACTURE bumper to bumper warranty.
Ivan Vojt go and check out parts and maintenance prices on your unreliable German cars, and then check out prices for this reliable chrysler, then we'll see who really is a maintenance money pit.
Chrysler is the most reliable company out of the big three. Fords have always sucked, GM's are patchy; some are good, some are terrible, and Chryslers, if properly maintained, can be as reliable as a Honda. My family put 225,000 miles on a chrysler voyager and it never failed us. The day we sold it, it was still running strong with no electronic or mechanical issues. My extended family and friends have had equally good experiences with Chrysler vehicles and even more terrible experiences with all fords and many GM's.
Joel BIelecki That's funny. I'll pull out the oil change receipts, that's expected maintenance and lets see if you can tear this stack of invoices in half with your bare hands. Oh I have a '06 Magnum SXT. The '04 PT Cruiser GT I had two Chrysler dealerships couldn't figure out the problem so I traded it in at 21K miles.

Stunning car. I want one!
That is one good-looking car!..Love to try it
Discontinued. Last batch will be built 12/16
WHAT?!
Yeah. It was announced several months ago. Chrysler isn't selling many of these and wants to put more emphasis on trucks and SUVs. They did say there was a slim possibility some other company could build these for Chrysler.
Icar4000 Why didn't they sell more?
lcar4000 since it's discontinued, is it s good idea to buy one as a first car?
sevan grigoryan probably not. parts with be high af later
yass for the michigan tags go Blue and im getting one tomorrow
They'd have been better focusing on this rather than the 300... and needs to get its marketing department working on more than the pacifica
They're both mechanically shit cars.
nice car and this is coming from a corvette guy
How did they review a car for 2016, in 2014, or is it secretly 2020 and no one noticed
- Ddeninno404 - lmfao
I fell in love with this car the first time I seen it and I'm going to get it too GOD's willing.
+TamaraJC12 I'm sure God will approve of your vehicle choice. If not, then expect a hailstorm of fire and brimstone upon you....lol.
J High lol thanks I think!
+TamaraJC12 don't get it!!!! It's unreliable! Buy the new Malibu
bendsomemetal Ford whats the matter with the car?
+TamaraJC12 the car will start falling apart after 2 years. Chrysler is one of the most unreliable car companies in America. The Chevy Malibu is the most reliable mid sized car Brand new
Wow this car didn't last long Chrysler already wants to drop it along with the dart
This is actually going to be my first car I own
I'd stay the fuck away from that car unless you like flushing your money down the toilet.
@@orasis
I’ve had one a long time. It never lets me down.
@@orasis got mine 2 years ago at 55k miles, 50 miles left till i hit 100k and not a single issue besides headlights going out. take care of your car and youll be fine
2:58 Toyota Corolla?
149K miles in mine and still going 2.4L only thing I did was replace the struts.
Do you still have it?
Yes it now has 178K miles.
Mlwest89 any issues?
No engine issues. I live on a dirt bumpy road the struts are the only thing. For what it’s worth money well spent.
Mlwest89 I’m getting one you convinced me
Do the seats fold down
I have the fully loaded 200c AWD. My friend owns a Lexus and says my car is one heck of a deal with all the options. Basically wasted his money on a overpriced Toyota.
What year is yours? Did you have any transmission issue?
+Yuu Tuub 2015 none yet. It does seem to do a little too many gears changes, but I guess that's what you get with 9 gears.
+Yuu Tuub I have transmission issues!
+dillon mundy what is it doing?
+dillon mundy Hmmm, mine only does that in sport mode. holds the gears much longer to reach the powerband. Do you have the V6?
What color looks best on this car?
Burgundy
***** hot pink
Black always look good
Navy blue
+pervis bennett I have white 200c awd
Did any one else see that this video is 8 years old...it was filmed in 2014 but this is a 2016
Does this car really share some traits with the Mercedes c class?
No
It is a Dodge neon with a different shell on it, same thing they did with the Dodge Dart!.
All Chrysler vehicles were crap before Fiat took over. that's why Chrysler went bankrupt. This car has nothing to do with the old besides the name.
I really like it.
I'm 16, would this be a good car for me?
People claim this car has quality issues but will fall over themselves to buy a Subaru that will have a blown head gasket and malfunctioning CVT at under 100,000 miles.
The 200 will have problems way before 50,000 miles my dude. XD. Also who buys Subaru's? The demographic is racers and modders. The 200 was mostly bought by middle aged and retired persons. So it wasn't because the demo was driving them hard.
@@orasis
My 200 doesn’t have any problems at all at 50k miles. You just need to make sure you’re servicing the 200. Yup. Pretty much like all cars. 👍🏻
This company is so lame. Now they are discontinuing all sedans except for the 300 and Charger? How is it that every other company that had compact and midsize cars has been able to make a profit yet these guys can't? Holy crap. Have fun with your shitty crossovers.
At least they're descent cars
Because no one wants to buy them. They have good build quality and makes solid cars people just don't support Chrysler.
+Ronald Nolan and that's the real truth behind it. for example I would never buy a fugly sentry over a 200. its a new car and people have to them around for a while before giving them a real chance. the same thing happened with Hyundai and Kia. Chrysler and Marchionne have to learn to stick with it.
Ronald Nolan Chryslers and Fiats have good build quality? No they don't. They languish at the bottom of reliability surveys consistently.
+Maestro_T so did mercedes and Volkswagen but they got their act together. today's Chrysler is no where near the same Chrysler from the past.
Finally a good looking Chrysler car.
how much for this car?
I think it's a likable car.
I owned a 2015 one, it was alright it took me across the nation but it started fucking up at 60,000 miles
You probably push the transmission out of turn.
@@rebelcave8556 that shouldn’t happen in the first place
@@victorsaenz9452
I know because it’s an automatic though I’ve owned mine so long, the thing is touchy. You can’t run the transmission out of turn or it will jerk and it’s just bad for the car. I’ve whipped that car like a rented mule and I know it’s still reliable.
nothing at all about ride over rough roads?
Not a fan of the electric gear selector on Chrysler vehicles. Its just weird lol
Am waiting for a 2020 Chrysler 200
theres gonna be a 2021 nothing because theres a high chance chrysler will be discontinued
Not gonna happen
Hey that infotainment system is the Same as my Maserati Levante! Wtf dude
What a great car I wanted to buy one it's a shame Chrysler canceled it
Damn. 295hp??? Nice.
Yeah I love passing by bunch of Asian cars with it. They got the mileage I got the performance
@@skyisdlimit6125 agree. And its better looking than the asian cars.
Please don’t sleep on Chryslers.... I have a 16 and I absolutely love my car!! It’s classy and sexy and it ride so smooth.
Chryslers are rolling piles of crap made with mostly Fiat parts.
Do you still have it?
The V6 is hard af to find I swear it’s almost like they only made 20 of em. The V6 should’ve been the limited
Hahahaha!!! At 3:48 the way he says tigershark
Price$$?
Drove this as a rental for 5 days. Handles like a cardboard boxxxx
conceptsosecurr very accurate
Sport version has a good handling. Normal version is not much worse than other affordable sedans.
Tom Wheeler
Handles fine, it just that rear window is high up.
It'll be a maintenance money pit. If you want one either lease one or if you buy one be sure to shop around online for an extended MANUFACTURE bumper to bumper warranty.
Money pit?... I doubt it, it's not a 1995 Sebring.
Rudy F Go write a check for one.
I think you called the Toyota Camry a Corolla.
This car has the most uncomfortable seats in it's segment! I'm mad as hell!
I WANT THIS CAR!
good job fiat
Lemon Alert buyers beware 🍋🍋
Please tell me why I was just about to get one
Had one as a rental in Denver a few months back, what an unbelievably bad car for a "modern" product. The interior materials are god awful and the drivetrain was just terrible.
omg this shows how much you know 😂. The Chrysler 200 got the "Wards 10 best interiors" list for 2015 💁 sooooo
+tom sam so you read reviews Instead of sitting inside one and forming your own opinion? What a moron
He rented it. It's base trim level hard plastics without the transmission flash. Either that or got the 2014 200.
It had leather so not sure how "base" it was...I've since had a 200 a couple more times, bad on all accounts...
Not really sure how you missed your comparison to the Corolla rather than the Camry. Just unacceptable.
