love the videos dave. I am located close to the ohio mississippi confluence. A better boat ramp in that area is the joseph hunter moore ramp on the missouri side. It is about 4 miles down river of the one you used. Less traffic right beside the ramp, and the ramp is at a good angle to make loading and unloading easier in the current
Nice video!! Dave why don’t you install a rod holder on each side of the boat where you net fish? Then your rod is out of the way, then your rod is not getting knocked around and you won’t be holding your rod close to tip,,,,,,,,,,,just an idea.
If they are feeding heavily they will most likely be up in the gates that is if they are running any water. Only problem with where I fish is you can only get 100 yards from the gates. I struggle to cast that far. I know a guy that fishes that way and seems to always catch them.
Some type of run off kills those catfish. They don't just magically die or magically get sick. Something is running into that lake killing the fish. Where I'm at it's usually farm run off but it could be factories or something else.
Wow, yesterday i literally asked myself what catfish dave would do because our catfish are on spawn too and same conclusion my local lake is very shallow but holds good fish and sure enough they were in the deep post spawn. See dave i pay attention lol and thank you
You'll laugh at this Dave. But the best thing to get the slime off your hands is good ol dirt. Put a pringles can full of dirt on the boat. Get your hands wet. Scrub them with dirt and rinse. You won't laugh after you try it.

Cats don't spawn until Late June here. Good thing they don't all spawn at once.
