I'm gonna be honest here-we were robbed. Emma and August had a wonderful dynamic and I both love and hated that they never got together. Loved it because the platonic goals they showcased were awesome. Hated it because I think August is the only one that truly stood by Emma when it mattered most, even if in roundabout ways. Plus, Emma was at her best with him. So yeah. We were robbed.
He used to have a *huge* place in her life in season 1. He was so important for her and for the whole savior thing that I do not, years after, understand why he desepeared. Like wtf... I've always seen him more than a guardian Angel. He could have been *THE* great story of her life (not talking about Hook ofc). I think that they always built their relationship in a ambiguous way... and now you are bringing back all the lost feels and it hurts.
I completely agree with you. i love captain swan, their chemistry etc. but they don't have so deep story like wooden swan's. it's really little bit frustrating, that we didn't see more of it.

i always saw them as siblings despite what he and neal did to her. And then in the new episode a 13 or 14 yrs old TEEN meets 7 yrs old CHILD!!! (so not sure with the shipping when looking at that and then also seeing august as a kid with a over 28 yrs old adult) and then again leave. So yeah siblings kinda thing .
they have almost the same stories. it's interesting. so If the screenwriters don't kill him and throw a few bones, and my shipping heart will love it, then I will catch them :D
