"Eat A Peach" came of the tragic heels of Duane's death. It's a masterpiece and this song is just part of that extraordinary fabric that is the Allman Brothers.

It makes my heart smile to see all of the pictures with Duane Allman in them. Duane learned the slide very early. It was heart breaking when Gregg came here to record what everyone knew, (including Gregg) would be his last hurrah. He was so worn and frail. That was the end of a tragic stretch for Muscle Shoals music. First, Percy Sledge left us and after that, in no particular order, Russell Smith of the Amazing Rhythm Aces, Aretha Franklin, Donnie Fritts, Glenn Frey, legendary Producer Rick Hall who started Duanne Allman on his way and several more. Rick produced one more record before he died. It was Gregg's last album, Southern Blood. MAY the circle be unbroken for the brothers. This includes some video of Gregg in the studio. Itdescribes his last days in Muscle Shoals and why he came here for the end of his music Journey. If you've never seen the movie about Muscle Shoals and all the iconic music that came from that small town. you are cheating yourself. www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/inside-gregg-allmans-musical-farewell-195069/amp/

One of the biggest, if not the biggest, concerts of all time was The ABB, Grateful Dead, and The Band at Watkins Glen, NY. July 28, 1973. Estimated crowd 600,000
As many people have noted Gregg wrote this after Duane died. He wrote it in honor of Duane, and wanted to honor his life. He also realized life is fleeting - you never know when it will be your time, so you can't waste any time. Duane's death really brought that home to him. Even though it's an upbeat song, I cry every time I hear it.
Jamel, I cannot tell you what a joy you are. I lost the love of my life 4 months and 8 days ago to cancer. He was a lifelong Deadhead, started seeing them at age 15 in 1979. He turned me on to them and the bus came by and I got ON. Losing him has utterly destroyed me. I have this song (Ain't Wastin Time No More) as my ringtone and everytime my Boo would hear it, or pick up my phone, he'd complain about it because he was mad at Gregg Allman for saying something not nice about Jerry Garcia. Hearing you do this song is bittersweet because it reminds me of my love. Watching your reactions to The Dead videos and your genuine goodness as a human being is the only joy I have in life since he died. Not exaggerating in the slightest. I watched your video with Joe Walsh at Darryl's house and I smiled and laughed for the first time in months. Can you do some Tom Petty? Maybe start with this? Those of us who love and lived by Tom and his music are still in shock at his death. Thank you, sincerely thank you, for being the only joy in my life right now. ruclips.net/video/8PQeRyVPQZU/видео.html
I knewwwwwwwww you would groove to this!!! Big ups to you for doing a reaction to this song. Even for the reactors who have lived and appreciated the Allmans, this song never seems to get reacted to.
First time I heard this at a coffee shop in the early 90's. This came on the juke and as the waiter came by I was "what is this song?!?! I gotta know what this song is!!!". I forgot the song before I knew it. Years later was looking up music on the internet, I think on Amazon, and i recognized the album cover and after some quick samples finally found the song again. Bought that song as quick as I could. What an awesome feel and groove to it. Always appreciate your insights. Rock on my man!
Thank you jamel there's very few if any if none other than you that I can here grateful dead, rage against the machine, dolly parton, and redbone and on and on. Thank you. Just the joy of music.
I saw the Allman Brothers in P:ittsburgh P:a. at the Syria Mosque. October 15, 1971. Duane passed days later. a friend just played a Allman cd of October 17, 1971, Duane's last gig.
This song has been powerful medicine for me so many times when I needed it most. It's great to see young people hearing, and most importantly, feeling The Brother's music. I'm with you on Whipping Post too brother. There's an old southern saying that sums up these guys music best for me. "If that don't light your fire your wood is wet."
@Jamel so glad you're loving the Allman Brothers Band!!! Duane is my favorite guitarist by far and I've been an ABB fan for years. They were a phenomenal live band and I've seen them live about 12 times. I even had the honor of attending their last show at the Beacon Theater in NYC on October 28, 2014, which was the Anniversary of Duane's death as well. They played that night for four hours finishing up at around 1:45 in the morning. If you want to really get deep into them listen to "Live at the Fillmore", especially the tracks "You don't love me", "Stormy Monday" and "Whipping Post". It shows how they stretched arrangements out to jam on them and then compare the live versions to the studio ones. I would also suggest listening to Derek and the Dominos. Derek and the Domino's was Delaney and Bonnies backing band which Eric Clapton stole with the addition of Brother Duane Allman. I would suggest listening to "Layla", "Why does love got to be so sad" and "Key to the Highway" to start. From the 1990's Allman's start with "Seven Turns". One of my favorite songs ever.

I've been listening to this song for forty-some years...always loved it and still heard it in a completely different t way today. Enjoy you so much.
You genuinely seem like a great person to know. Love these react vids to these classics
This is a tune. Love ABB so damn much.
My kind of woman!

Thanks for reacting to this one Jamel...been waiting for it. You are so in touch with your subs. Love the channel, love the song and love the reaction. Try Stormy Monday from Live at the Fillmore. It’s a cover, but amazing! Take care.
Have loved this song my entire life. It has everything.
If I'm not mistaken, the Allman Brothers toured with the Grateful Dead back in the 70s
One of the biggest, if not the biggest, concerts of all time was The ABB, Grateful Dead, and The Band at Watkins Glen, NY. July 28, 1973. Estimated crowd 600,000
One of their very best with that super slide guitar and vocals!👍🏻❤️☮️✌🏻🎸🎼🎤
As many people have noted Gregg wrote this after Duane died. He wrote it in honor of Duane, and wanted to honor his life. He also realized life is fleeting - you never know when it will be your time, so you can't waste any time. Duane's death really brought that home to him. Even though it's an upbeat song, I cry every time I hear it.
Allman Brothers , NO ONE TO RUN WITH . GREAT SONG THANKS

The Allman Brothers Band is easily one of the greatest southern Jambands to ever exist! NFA!
Jamel I know u like these great 🎶 musicians..you appreciate them. Look how young they were. Baby faces. 💗💗
Americas greatest band, and easily the most influential!
Definitely one of my all-time favorite A.B. tunes! Thanks for finally getting to this one!
Definitely one of my favorite ABB songs. Thanks for sharing man. Makes you take a pause and think about everything doesn’t it? ✌🏻
I knewwwwwwwww you would groove to this!!! Big ups to you for doing a reaction to this song. Even for the reactors who have lived and appreciated the Allmans, this song never seems to get reacted to.
In my humble opinion, one of their most underrated songs.
Thank you, Jamel! This is one my favorite songs and a great way to start the day. Trippin' down memory lane!
Can't ever go wrong with these Boys! Love Allman Brothers, the greatest.
Thank you for your work
Thank you jamel there's very few if any if none other than you that I can here grateful dead, rage against the machine, dolly parton, and redbone and on and on. Thank you. Just the joy of music.
I saw the Allman Brothers in P:ittsburgh P:a. at the Syria Mosque. October 15, 1971. Duane passed days later. a friend just played a Allman cd of October 17, 1971, Duane's last gig.
I’m a life long ABB fan ! I was fortunate to see them live several times , especially their “ Seven Turns “ tour ! RIP Duane, Butch , Gregg
...and Berry✌
@@robertsaul234 Thanks , I knew I was leaving one out ... CRS
About time you reacted to your own catch phrase!
This is a sit-back relax put on a pair of headphones and close your eyes.

Put on your ears and take out your eyes 🤷♀️
Great opening track!!
"just get high"... 🌲💨🌿💨🌳🌲💨🌿💨🌳💨🌲💨🌿
When Greg hits that high note in the lyric "Raise our children" goosebumps
My favorite Allman's song by my favorite good-hearted reactor. A million thanks!!
Finally, been waiting for this since the first time I heard you say "ain't gonna waste no more time" :)
The Allman Brothers concerts were like a revival. So glad I was able to see them live in the early 90's when they still had it going on.
One of my favorite allman bros songs. Thank you jamel for playing.
