Hi Kjetil. Fantastic activation! I have an old idea to activate one river from the ice. Maybe this season I can do it. How do the locals treat you with your antenna 🤣, does it look strange to them? We have very suspicious people 😯 in Russia.
Ha ha@@R2DXU . That has never happened to me, but I know people that have been stopped. I usually activate out of populated areas. I once did it in a city center, and was waiting for police to show up all the time
Here in Maine, USA, many people enjoy ice fishing. It is common to have an ice fishing shelter, either semi-permanent or portable. The semi-permanent ones are left on the ice all winter and dragged to shore at the end of the season. There is often a wood stove in the shelter for heat. Do you have such shelters in Norway? Having such a shelter from the wind might make an extended outing more enjoyable. DE WA1KLI
I'd love to, but in this nature reserve any sort of shelter is forbidden 😒 That's typical of the smaller reserves here in Norway, in bigger ones it's OK. Thanks for the hint anyways 😊

I got a lot of questions if I was ice fishing, and showed my radio to some kids that wondered. They were not impressed.
