It wasn’t the most serious injury. If it were you or me we probably wouldn’t need the surgery but it is different because of how much they expect shohei to exercise. It is a “just to be safe” surgery. Hope he preforms the same or better but it wasn’t exactly a necessary surgery.
Here’s a list of what Shohei Ohtani accomplished in his first year with the Dodgers (2024). Still a work in progress, so there might be some mistakes.😅 •First player in MLB history with 200 home runs, 500 RBIs, and 100 stolen bases in their first 800 games •First player to join the “50/50 Club” in MLB history •First player in MLB history with five extra-base hits and 10 RBIs in a single game •First player in MLB history with three home runs and two stolen bases in a single game •New MLB record: 15 games in a single season with both a home run and a stolen base •New MLB record: five games in a single season with both a home run and two stolen bases •Four consecutive seasons with fWAR of 9 or more •First Asian player to lead both leagues in home runs •Two-time consecutive home run champion •Led MLB in on-base percentage, slugging percentage, and OPS for two consecutive seasons •Set record for highest WAR by a designated hitter •First in MLB history with a stolen-base success rate above 50% with over 50 stolen bases •First player in MLB history with 25 home runs at home and 25 on the road in a single season •Most home runs in a debut season with a new team in MLB history •One of eight players to win Player of the Week in both leagues at least three times •First designated hitter to win MVP in MLB history •Second player in MLB history to win MVP in both leagues, first from Asia •First player in MLB history to win unanimous MVP three times •First player in MLB history with back-to-back unanimous MVP awards •Dodgers’ franchise record for most home runs in a single season (54 home runs) •Dodgers’ franchise record for most RBIs in a single game (10 RBIs, 6 hits in 6 at-bats, 3 home runs, 2 stolen bases) •Tied for most extra-base hits in a single season in Dodgers’ history (94 extra-base hits) •Most home runs in a single season at Dodgers’ home games (28 home runs in 2024) •Most runs scored in Dodgers’ franchise history •Most total bases in Dodgers’ franchise history •Led the Dodgers in all offensive categories in a single season •Longest streak of consecutive stolen bases in a single season in Dodgers’ history •First Asian player to hit 30 home runs in four consecutive seasons •Most home runs by an Asian player (225 home runs) •Most RBIs in a single season by an Asian player (130 RBIs) •Most runs scored in a single season by a Japanese player (128 runs) •Most stolen bases by an Asian player •First Asian player to lead both leagues in home runs •First Asian player to win MVP in both leagues •First Asian player to win MVP in consecutive years •Third career 20-20 club achievement, and first of the 2024 season •Fastest player in MLB history to join the “40/40 Club,” sixth player overall •Ten-time Player of the Week in MLB history, joining an elite group of 23 players •First player in MLB history with 14 hits, 13 RBIs, 6 stolen bases, and 5 home runs over a four-game span •400 total bases and 100 extra-base hits
That's amazing lol Of course Ohtani is amazing, but you who wrote this are also amazing 👏However, the last one, "100 extra base hits," was unfortunately wrong, and I'm sure it was "99 extra base hits." Even so, this is an amazing stats 🦄
As an All-Star, he became the first Japanese player to hit a home run over the fence. He also hit 40-40 at the same time, setting a new Dodgers record for RBIs in 10 consecutive games.
Want to give a shout out to Tyler Glasnow, he’s the ace we needed in the regular season! So electrifying when he pitches! Hope to have a healthy season next year.
The bats and starters will eat up most of these highlights and deservedly so but every Dodger fan and opposing hitters know what a monster we had in our bullpen this year. Truly the unsung heroes of this championship year. Banda, Brasier, Hudson, Phillips, Vesia, Kopech, Treinen we haven’t forgot about you 👏👏👏🏆
The beauty of the Dodgers is that there was no single star, despite the Big Three of Shohei, Mookie and Freddie. All three of them had setbacks throughout the season and the playoffs, but then here came the two Hernandezes, Will, Tommy, etc. etc. - and the whole damn bullpen! And then Yoshi and Walker and Jack the rest of the pitchers who came back from injuries to do what they had to do in the playoffs! This whole team is clutch for each other. That's why they won!

Im a big fan. Its good enough, we have many "Southern Californian Ball Players. Even Share them with the rest of MLB."However, Signing thee Best, in every position?!! Pointing and screaming at the first base umpire who said Teoscar held up his check-swing with two strikes. Could have been the third out, but the umpire ruled "No swing".
RAAAAMSSSS HOUSE, go cry in a corner with all the giants fans. LETS GO DODGERS WE RUN THE GIANTS STADIUM WHEN WE GO INTO TOWN, THAT DODGERS STADIUM HOME NORTH FOR US. 2024 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏
@ giants will always be superior to the Dodgers. My team won three championships in five years became an actual dynasty. Have the Dodgers ever done the last time I checked, that would be a no.

8:18 Eric Karros!
11:30 what’s he pointing at?
Pointing and screaming at the first base umpire who said Teoscar held up his check-swing with two strikes. Could have been the third out, but the umpire ruled "No swing".
And I'd bet Manny Machado is still in denial...
LA on top🎉

THE BIG 3 FREDDIE FREEMAN, SHOHEI OHTANI AND MOOKIE BETTS
IMA GET SIGNED ONE DAY JUST WATCH
1:07:37 Whose at first? NOBODY... oops.
Damn I forgot how ugly those All-Star jerseys were.
Love the Dodgers!! ❤ love the Guardians more cause I am a Clevelander, but they beat the yankees! Yeeaaa! ⚾️⚾️⚾️
Shohei Ohtani is the next Barry Bonds
He don't juice and he pitches..so he is only shohei ohtani..Barry bonds wish he is next shohei
Big difference: Shohei will be a first ballot Hall of Famer. Barry only gets in after he passes. Writers wont forget that little cheating thing.
No cap…. I forgot the dodgers even won the World Series already.
Dodgers won’t repeat
@@chrisrenshaw6372 Bahah, the padres are better rivals than you guys. At least they have a chance at beating us.
@@chrisrenshaw6372living in the past 😂😂😂😂😂
@@audrey-vb5to you clearly don’t know baseball the last time I checked the Giants have actual championships the Padres don’t
👀
I hope the dodgers go to maralago instead of the white house
