As someone who hasnt seen this game before, it looks a lot like nfsmw2012, so you might wanna check that out. You might enjoy it, except for the music.
@@ahrkens Nah, NFS MW had physics, and was atleast a little bit challenging.. this is like the new dumbed down NFS titles where you simply press a button to drift in a perfect line, and can take any corner at full speed without braking, or sliding out of control for that matter. It WAS pretty damn fun though, but the racing aspect itself was pure gobshite.

Luckily for me, I agree with you. I'd maybe tie it with Revenge, but 3 had something Revenge didn't have, and I can't exactly put into words what it is. Maybe it's the atmosphere, idk.

When you have high resolution I think it still looks very good
Who cares when the gameplay is ridiculously good
Is does look not so good as you remember cause is missing some post processing effect and the lens flare, halo lighting effect from billboards etc stuff, also the sun reflection on roads and some other missing effects cause of emulation.
I still remember that NFS Underground 2 had a demo version of this game included in the PS2 Version

It's funny that, at the time, most people probably only assumed that we would go up from there, but after this release, arcade racers pretty much plateau'd, with Burnout 3 being the best arcade racer ever made, then the steady decline happened. Pretty sad when you have to look this far back in a genre to find the game that is best within that genre...

... Well, that and I made it up when I was a whee lad, so it basically goes "pook" = a different version of "poke" + Pakistan, because reasons = POOKISTAN.
It should be noted that I made this before I even knew about the whole terroristish affiliation we generally have for Pakistan. It was also never really meant to mock Pakistan anyways, and it has been entirely bizarre the few times that people have gone out of their way to let me know that they are offended by my username - It's also something I care less about every passing moment since 'outrage culture' is growing ever-increasingly more ridiculous, contradictory, and delusional as-to their expectations of what constitutes 'acceptable behavior' with people losing their shit when they meet someone who doesn't start off a conversation by asking what pronouns they prefer (or hostilely demand) they be referred to.

Yeah, arcade circuit racing without the open world is seen as "limited" these days. Ironically I think the Burnout Paradise is one of the reasons why we don't see games like the Burnout 3 anymore...
Burnout revenge will always be my favorite.

This game is my childhood game. I remember that my childhood was more funny with this game....
Road rage, silverlake northbound while “here I am” is playing, probably THE best video game experience I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. 600+ hours spent on this game and every hour spent was absolutely worth it.
Agree. I also spent 1000+ hrs to replay it over and over again.
Takes me back to high school, and pulling a sicky while my parents were away so I could play this masterpiece all day. Good times 😢

Im really glad to see how many people still remeber this lovely game, back to my childhood i played this so much on my brothers ps2, this was the main game i always played, everytime my mom came home i would tell her about the awsome crashes that happened, its the main thing that makes me miss her more. Im thankful that this video was up thank you for the nostalgia and the good memories :,)

More like, they ruined all the good franchises, i really miss burnout, but i rather not have another game if it means its going to be a bunch of lootboxes pay to win like they did nfs.
I find it crazy how this game looks better than anything else EA had released for the PS2 and yet runs at 60 FPS. Compared to this, NFSU2, MW, Carbon, etc. (on PS2, of course) all look like complete shit and run like shit too. At least they still have good gameplay. It really shows the extent to which Criterion had their shit together. This is probably one of the most well-made PS2 titles. On top of that, this game has some killer gameplay. This game even looks (and runs) better than NFS Undercover for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Just look at the textures and how detailed they are... ON A PS2!

Of all piles of PS2 discs I had, this game is the only one that keeps me hooked, along with San Andreas. What a childhood!
Though I’m a full on sim racer, I can’t stop having fun with this masterpiece. In my opinion, this is the best game in the Burnout series by far.
I laughed with my brothers with every takedown in this game..Good old days.

24 the game have very intense physics system for ps2 but have bad frame rate if you care about it.
While Dangerous Driving brought back pleasant memories of Burnout 3: Takedown, the gameplay will never be able to match this. Especially when Three Fields is using the Unreal Engine instead of Renderware.
If only I can play one of the Burnout games on the Playstation 4. To me the Burnout games released for PS2 deserve rereleases.

I felt turned off on the paradise for PS3, I was kinda mad and told myself burnout 3 is the best ever, and plus wasn't there a controversy about the DMV being against burnout 3 games and wanted to do lawsuits? They think it's going to make everyone disobey traffic law and do stunts. Anyway I enjoy those burnout 3 days along Tekken tag tournament and watching the movie '95 "Hackers"

For anyone that didn’t play this game at the time, I can say it was a pretty amazing experience. No racing game I’d ever played before had such great crash physics. Mostly you’d just hit the barrier and be completely fine. Or the damage would be minuscule and unrealistic. This game was great.

I remember playing this on the original xbox, the soundtrack was awesome!
I still play this game. It will always be in the #1 spot for my favorite racing game. My second favorite is Project CARS. The smashing cars is also the only reason I got need for speed hot pursuit. My only issue is that the resolution is so low that I struggle to see cars further up in the road because it all becomes an oatmeal mess at a certain distance.

Best racing game in the history of racing games. Tihs is a direct competitor to NFS Most Wanted (2005).

I remember living in a house of poverty and I could only afford a free hand me down PS4 and star wars battlefront and burnout 3 takedown I'm 14 now with a Xbox one in a pretty nice crib so looking back is pretty fun

IMO they should have kept the gameplay from Revenge. EA & Criterion nailed that game. Amazing maps, cars, music, sound design, game modes, and gameplay. Nothing beats shunting cars from behind and launching them into opponents for a takedown. I also enjoyed the supercharger feature in dominator.

I remember I didn’t have a memory card on my ps2 for awhile, so I would spend all day getting pretty far in the game and then I would literally start over the next time I played it but at that age I didn’t care and it never got boring
This was my favourite game, I used to think the graphics were realistic. Top 3 along with GTA: SA and NFS: U2
To have widescreen mode for Burnout 3 and Revenge and Burnout Dominator you have to go to the ps2 System Configuration and set Screen Size to 16:9 and do a full boot not fast then it should go into that mode.
Probably the only racing game where rubberbanding wasn't annoying but absolutely necessary.
