I returned to my home country with millions in assets and attended the baby shower of an old classmate's child.

Ok......this story is by far the most emotionally twisted, heart wrecking and distraught ever I listen to this channel.
MC was trying to be the best husband and willing to give Luna a better life. Despite that he was aboard for a year, he was selfless and loved Luna deeply. MC didn't deserve the betrayal from Luna. He wasn't trying to simp for Luna but MC was genuinely and sincerely as a dutiful husband who wanted to embrace the future. MC invests so much in the relationship with promised and fulfilling obligations. He really wants a child with her and even felt sad that his mother passed away with regret of not witnessing a grandchild.
Luna is an awful, gullible, promiscuous and selfish wife who treated MC horribly and has cognitive immobility whenever Alex is present. She can't get over her stupid useless ex then why dragged MC in the relationship and why break up with Alex in the first place? She created this unnecessary rebound relationship. There's a reason why Luna and Alex broke off in the first place yet she still had his child. She knew Alex's personality in their past relationship, and she still protected him. Luna gave away child-bearing duties to someone else who isn't her husband, that's a cruel and disrespectful. Luna ruined her marriage when she could have a good life with MC.
Alex is an incompetent, deceitful, whining and discontented simp. This guy is very messed up. He can't provide anything for his child and yet he wants one. He cancelled the medical operation in order to gamble. The thing is, there are some men who are like that in real life.
Man can be a man but not every man can be a husband. Not every man can be a father.

If she chose MC even though he was a simp for her and she remained to be with MC throughout their lives, then the MC's "simping" effort worth it. Then the MC efforts weren't in vain and the story would be different outcome. However she chose the wrong choice.

You say this as if it isn't common. A quick glance at social media will show you women who say stuff stupid things but they never post the consequences unless it's filtered. My favorites are all the women who divorce their husband of 10+ years because they feel like something 'better is on the other side' and a year or two later they are miserable and they find that their ex is dating some woman in their later 20's and halfway engaged.
I personally known women who speak bad/mistreat their husbands but once divorce is on the table and they realize that they won't get much and could easily have everything switched back on them, they change their tone.
