The refrain interpolates Benny Mardones’ “into the night,” an otherwise creepy song rescued and made gorgeous here.
@@rocknrollsinger people intepret it as creeoy ( the video sure is ) but the story behind it is pretty dope; Benny wrote the song about helping out an impoverished family

I agree. His guitar playing is so good. Reminds me a bit of Mark Knopfler in how it is understated yet constantly moving in order to expand the richness of the music.

All of their live stuff is better. That says a lot about their talent. Saw them live summer of '16 with DCFC...what a TREAT to hear these guys live.
Agreed. Most of my favorite music the same. Hopefully their subsequent releases will either be recorded live or feature more minimal production.
Both versions are good. I like the 'overproduced' version myself. I would have given a left nut away for science to see DCfC and these guys live though.

Cocteau Twins
Cocteau Twins, the later stuff mostly, is a good one. Beach House is also somewhat similar, especially the newer stuff (From Teen Dream onwards). Echo Lake for something more dreamy. Seapony for something more pop-like, though Seapony is a bit generic for my taste.
