Warlock: My patreon gave me this necklace...its filled with dirt.
Me a cultured individual: Got a jar of dirt . Got a jar of dirt, guess what is inside it !
I have an army! We have a Hulk. I HAVE A JAR OF DIRT!!!
thats my first thought whenever she mentions it
You have a jar? I raise you a *CUP*
@@Zev0 THE BIG YELLOW ONE IS THE SUN
OI, FISHFACE
"Right now I'm just really focused on this whole world-consuming rot problem" is definitely a mood for this year lol.
"When you drink Elvin wine you build up a tolerance"
Any dwarf in a 5 km range "Is that a challenge"
In a Dnd Campain of one of my freinds, it was established that elven wine was pretty disgusting, while Dwarven Ale could kill an adult human instantly, because dwarves can drink methanol no problem and often add it to their dinks to "spice them up". So that ws fun.
“She likes pickles. She can be bought.” I feel there is a “Ahhh! Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal.” Moment coming from someone that feeds her pickles.
... I want to draw her so bad, I have a thousand ideas for how those flowers in her hair could look.
🥺 please show me if you do!!
@@GinnyDihello want some of my sketch of characters
She's incredible. Such a good character. If it's okay, I would like to make her NPC in my game.
Go for it!!
Ooh, that's a good idea!
Ah yes, a pseudodragon that’s fickle unless you give them a pickle
I knew there was a reason why I decided to buy that jar of pickles at the general store!
1:35 I know she's a firebender! I saw the elven woman heating her tea!!!
Jokes aside, what a wonderful and fun video! I loved getting to know Aisling! 😄💕
That's the first thing I though.
Why is that the only thing I thought Hahaha
I thought of that too. Avatar is a great show.
lmfao
'it changes flavors with the seasons!' - I love this
As soon as I said it, my brain was like "Aisling seasonal tea blends, let's gooooo"
So, if her hair changes with the season, what happens to it when it's winter? Does she go bald or something?
People keep asking this, haha!! But no, it just turned dark blue-green like an evergreen.
I would love to see more in-character interviews like this.
So true! It would be so cool if more players made videos like this.
Whole new take on "Between The Sheets" interviews at Critical Role?
@@wolfsunfire this is such a fun idea. I wanna do it someday
"Bitter Bean Sludge"
Leaf water is superior. You're right
tea is just hot leaf juice
@@kiravilosir7646 Uncle, that's what all tea is.
@@lancecarlisle1749 How could a member of my own family say something so horrible!
Haha! I love how Avatar keeps coming up in the comments!
Aisling: *Uses flowers from her hair to make tea*
Me: She's like an elvan Caduceus!
Aisling: She's an Archfey of growth and decay and rebirth
Me: She's like a warlock Caduceus!
She’s nothing like Caduceus though lol
Well, maybe in aesthetics. Personality? Not so much, she seems less nurturing and more ...assertive?
I mean yeah if you wanna boil it down to like... two traits of her personality???
That's what I thought!
@@halfelfrose Not even personality. Just two physical traits.
"I'd use the word tree-hugger but I'm not much of a hugger"
Great line
This is such a fun idea! Also, "tree respecter" 😆
The questionnaire as best I can gather based on context.
Basic introduction: name, race, class.
1. What are people's first impression of you?
2. What do you order at a tavern?
3. Who do you have the best relationships with in your party?
4. Who do you have the worst relationship with in your party?
5. What's your go to maneuver in combat?
6. What's the most memorable moment from your adventure?
7. Coffee or tea?
8. What's your type?
9. If someone handed you ten thousand gold what would you do with it?
10. What's the quickest way to earn your trust?
I’m gonna answer this for my character because hhhhhhhhhhh for context we’re a bbeg in the making party.
Introduction: I’m Keith, I’m a winged kitsune as you can definitely see from the whole *gestures to whole body* thing, and I’m a bard.
1: prolly why’s he got wings? That don’t make no sense
2: alcohol. Strong as it gets.
3: hmmm... probably fizzle, considering that we- well, no, he and Reckaw murdered those civilians, by accident mind you, they were caught in the blast of a mahoosive bomb he made. Plus he gave me that djinn’s sword, which was pretty chill
4: my worst? Probably... Elfo. Well, we call him elfo, his actual name’s elfie, he’s a monk of some variety, he gets kinda idiotic. Plus he’s hella naive, and he refused to believe me when I double checked that charlatan in Clewyck for magic items
5: oh, just straight up murder. My violin consumes the souls of those who hear its music who I deem to be enemies. I remember one time, we fought this orc raiding party while we were escorting a caravan, a troll escaped and I didn’t want to risk dimension door-ing myself into a tree, but some... 20-ish seconds of playing Lector here, and their blood was out their eyes.
6: *sighs heavily* probably when I had to uh... discorporate. I’m not technically naturally occurring, my father was a drow scientist, I, as in, Keith, was sick. Tura and Reckaw were coincidental acquisitions. After he jammed our souls together, we went a little berserk and destroyed the lab, leaving just us, and the violin. I wandered for... 200? Ish? Years, after which I met up with my party, got dragged into the whole dragon prophecy thing, Yama ya da ya da, but at one point, while we were looking for my father, I threatened the wrong people and got thrown in an oubliette. Only way out was to let my father separate us to present the illusion that I’d died.
7: coffee, obviously. I’m a bard, I can’t go drinking hot leaf juice.
8: wouldn’t you like to know
9: violin strings, oracle tellings. Those herbs are not cheap.
10: haha, no. You think I actually trust these people? I trust them about as far as Sylphir can throw me. And he’s a halfling Druid. So not a lot.
I am Gobby Glasscok of the Glasscock brothers.
First impression, I am a goblin in a suit. People think I am evil, but it’s just monstrous racism cause by Volo. Yes I happen to be part of the zentarim, but they don’t know that.
My brothers are my best relationship.
My worst? Alfiz. He is my brother in law and he is a little shit head.
Go to maneuver in combat? Kill? Is that a maneuver? Shadow blade, stab, and maybe help my party by pointing out their weakenesses.
What do I order in a tavern? I own the tavern. Unless I don’t. Then I guess I order the tavern.
Getting the Ace the hole tavern and brothel or defeating my rival blastwind are the most memorable, but soon I am defeating Xanathars.
Coffee or tea? Tea of course it’s for the nobles.
Type? Gnomes or goblins. Preferably rich or high status.
I would expand my franchise if I had 10,000 gold
Work for me and be a monstrous race is the quickest way to get my trust. Also don’t be Volo. That man is a race realist.
I'm not going to answer them all here, but I do want to say #5.
Go to move is rage, reckless attack with my finesse battle axe and apply sneak attack
@@Stevelover0267 Also gonna answer #5, for my halfling druid.
Wildshape into a giant goose and bite the enemy's nose off.
I am going to answer this for a two-shot character.
My name is Frivec an elf upgraded by the conclave. I am both a bard and a rogue.
1 Probably what is that fish doing dressed up like that with instruments?
2 I don't order I play and see what I get.
3 We have not been together for that long yet but definitely Urinon he has so many amazing stories to tell. And well I know him the longest.
4 Probably Aiden, he is just so quiet all the time like go live man have some fun in life.
5 If I ever get in a fight I usually try to talk my way out with some magical help and if that doesn't work I go invisible and sneak away.
6 Despite our short stay together something I will definitely remember is when I stole some fruit and ate it. We got caught by the owner only because those fruits give you an instant mustache. When we were bribing him to not tell anyone I stole some more :)
7 Uuuh tea?
8 Well a funny one that I can laugh with all the time. I haven't spent much time thinking about this as I only have been out and about for a few months now and just want to meet more people and hear their stories.
9 Spend it to go to bard school. I really want to learn more instruments and magic.
10 Show me genuine kindness. or being able to laugh at jokes at your expance.
„Severed hand of a dead god"
People familiar with FR lore: the W H A T
what's FR stand for?
Lost Ones Soul It stands for Forgotten Realms. It’s the current primary canon setting for D&D 5e. Also - 😳 kill that hand. Kill it! Kill it! Kill it!
@@zerkuwitherblight Interestingly enough, I don't believe Vecna has a presence in the forgotten realms. That said, people from the realms can encounter the hand... They'll just have to travel to Avernus first.
or just CR C1
@@oOPPHOo That's because it's a secret. The Cult uses the Hand to 'Shush' people who talk about it. They always keep one eye on you too...
“She can be bought”
Me summed up in a quote
"I would have to drink a gallon of what the humans are drinking to feel the way they feel after a few drinks" cheers to that, my tiefling wild magic sorcerer's body literally burns up most of the alcohol she tries to drink, which makes it frustratingly difficult for her to actually get drunk. then again, as the old saying goes, "don't drink and cast"
Important tip, Aisling - when people stick their middle finger up at you, it means they're angry and telling you to **** off, and you should respond appropriately (either by doing the same or declaring war on them, depending on the situation)
This was so fun! I love seeing the kinds of characters people come up with.
me too! one of my favorite moments in D&D is when you get to meet each other and find out about everybodies characters.
Probably the best part other than making your character.
Human Bean is my new favorite d&d related pun
Bearfolk, Griffin Knight, I am suddenly very intrigued. They just need to partner with D&D Beyond.
The puns and wordplay were beautiful. Omg that was an amazing interview.
I absolutely adore seeing someone being really into their campaign, brings a lot of pleasant memories from my own adventures. Aisling sounds like a fun party member!
From now one I would love to be known as a “tree respecter”
My roommate & her boyfriend just started a Midgard campaign!! That book is HUGE!! It looks fantastic! =)
I have a sudden image in my head of Nightshade hoarding a massive pickle pile like Vex'ahalia hoarded gold
As a fellow Eladrin Archfey, daughter of a Witch.. nice
Eladrin Feylocks represent! No witch though, just a scholar who's really into Prime Material culture. (she's from the feywild.)
Tree sap wine is going RIGHT into my sea of trees setting.
Would this not just be Acerum? And would that make Aisling's Elves Quebecois?
There was a moment when she was talking about what she would do with 10,000 GP your movements made Nightshade look like she was nodding along. It was the CUTEST! 😍 I was fascinated.
First off that is a really simple but cute tea set!
Also great editing this video Ginny. It was all just really pretty.
OK but that bear race is calling to me. ❤️
"I've got a necklace with di-irt! I've got a necklace with di-irt!"
if someone did an Interview with MY DnD character (Karasu the Kenku Rogue), here's how it might play out:
Karasu: I can tell you have questions.. you get three.
Interviewer: why only 3?
Karasu: that was your first question.
Does your Kenku talk without just repeating? :0
@@DeathnoteBB yeah, he's so skilled with Mimicry that he sounds like a normal person
(I made it that way so I didn't annoy the other players)
Would like to meet him. Sounds deece.
1. What's your favorite thing to do in the whole Material Plane?
2. Who do you like the most and who do you hate the most? (That's still one question! One sentence, one question! :-P)
3. Favorite badass/clever victory?
@@sarahmiller4980
1. meditating and/or playing the Shamisen
2. I don't get attached to people, it hurts less when they die
3. Casting Invisibility on myself to sneak up and kill someone preforming a cultist ritual.
I love her so so much!! Seeing you mention that this video was coming got me so excited! I love seeing other people's characters and your whole campaign sounds like such a fun time. Her style is adorable, I love that she's sweet and pretty but also rough and not all niceties and smiles. Nightshade is adorable and her love of pickles is deeply charming. I'd watch more of these, if you made them a regular thing!
I was already tightrope walking the razor thin line between 'I want the Midgard Heroes Handbook' and 'I reallyreallyreally want the Midgard Heroes Handbook' after my SO picked up the Tome of Beats. Your coupon finally pushed me over the edge and into the pit of 'No, this is not quarantine spending! This is necessary!'
Yes! I've been waiting for more Aisling content ever since you posted the first video about her 😀
Yea same here
Nobody: Aisling after her patron gave her a gift: I GOT A JAR OF DIRT! I GOT A JAR OF DIRT!
"Severed hand of a dead god"
Oh boy.
This was really cool! It sounds like Aisling gets up to all sorts of fun adventures. And quashes some stereotypes along the way. Definitely wouldn't mind hearing more about your D&D characters/campaigns in the future. 😄
I love the making tea out of the flowers of her hair!!
Aisling is certainly a cool character! I really like Nightshade perched on her shoulder, and the Druid multiclass is pretty neat.
omg i’ve wanted to play a druidy bard forever and i thought i was gonna have to multiclass but that sounds PERFECT!!! i gotta get that book asap
I'm so happy to see more of Aisling! I hope you continue to share her with us, you did a very lovely job on this video I love all of it :)
Hair flower tea sounds incredible! Nightshade is so cute!
This is really cool. Im going to start having my players do interviews as their characters.
Very fun video! Also I have the Midgard heros handbook and worldbook and am currently Dming a Midgard campain! The BEST thing I'd advertise from the book is the Weapon options: special combat tactics people proficient with that weapon (including NPCs) can use when they use the weapon! I love this section. Ex: many polearms have a Trip attack as an attack option! I'd also mention it has new spell options as well.... But the weapon maneuver/options is amazing stuff I use in all my 5e games now! Also The bearfolk are great and winterfolk halfling! I have used them. Bearfolk can easily 'replace' similar strong/burly NPCs in any premade adventures too! Such as write out a "bearfolk traits" card and swap out features for an Orc, Goliath or Firbolg NPC etc.
Basically yeah its a good book to get.
I'd like to see more videos along this vein.
Thank you for fulfilling my content request!
... I might have yelled when I saw the notification.
OH my god I over her so much! Glad to see more Aisling content on the channel!! 😁
"60% of the people who are watching this are currently subscribers, but you can change that." Actually I can't. Well I can, but since I'm already in the 60%, I could only change it in the wrong direction. 😂
DUDE! My first D&D character’s name was Aisling Blackcrest! She’s a 10th level half-elf Ranger 8/Cleric 2 multiclass (5e)!
5:36
My Drow Bard: "Ah, I see you are one of culture as well."
Okay I loooove your warlock/druid!! I play a moon druid werewolf/elf and gosh, you just pull off the druid look so well. I'd love to learn more about your party! Never heard of wildlings before, they sound adorable ;w;
Shocked that your video isn't sponsored by Raid: Shadow Legends like everything else is 😂
Great content as always
Aisling : 🎵I've got a jar of dirt I got a jar of dirt 🎵
Yessss!! I’m so happy to see another Aisling video!! 💕💕
You being a warlock is my biggest jam and a huge coincidence since I plan to play Warlock for my first serious spellcaster and aaahhh I love your warlock 🥺
This is an awesome format, I hope it does well so we can learn more about Aisling’s adventures!
omg shes so adorable, i love her so much
Ha, Aisling's thoughts on human alcohol remind me of my war cleric and her thoughts on the brews created by any method aside from the up north ones back where she's from. Strong northern mead is better than anything that other races can brew.
What a fun idea!! Also I love the editing and the set up! What wig did you use for her? She's like real life hair goals
It's from QD-Udreamy on Amazon! It's the 24" lace front.
Oh! I love her. I want Aisling to meet Hagas (my high elf Eldridge Knight. She's prickly too).
Hey Aisling, so huamsn have basically ruined coffee - grinding up the stones of the fruit (which they call beans) to make their sludge drink. But the coffee plant is much more versatile! There are coffee berries and even coffee flowers! - Yours, a gnome druid.
Love this format. Seems like a fun writing/character building set up!
Same, Nightshade. I can also be bought. Cookies are my weakness, however.
Omg she's so precious I'm swooning.
Thanks!
there's some thing called a tea dragon
you can probably home brew it it has tea leaf's growing on it
that you can harvest and make tea.
Aisling is such a cool character omg!! Also, I FREAKING LOVE YOUR COSPLAY OF HER!! I want to be as cool and nerdy as you!! 😍
Cool video. In my current D&D campaign, we got really deep into the role playing last session that we actually to stop, because one character revealed his backstory and it go so real we all had to step outside and take a deep breath of the real world.....with masks on of course
This was really fun! I hope you do more of them. Also, I hope you have a running gag about the bees that congregate around your headflowers.
I’m so hyped omg. I really wanted u to make this video and ITS ACTUALLY HERE!! Bless
Also: how in the heck is your hair still THIS gorgeous even after it’s faded?? My hair never fades this nice omfg.
Oh my god I love her so much 😭😭😭😭😭
Ok. I loved this. Aisling is a great character. I can't wait to hear more of her exploits!
The add part helped me because I wanted to have a bard and druid kinda mix and then i saw the green leaf college and I freaked out
Yas!!! Give me that D&D content!!! Excellent video!👌
Also you lift? Your forearms look shredded 💪
Sweet character design. I like the Archfey spin on warlocks, there's not enough of them out there and they can be so versatile for rp over the usual "dark and mysterious" old one and "hellknight" fiend patrons.
Also your eyelash game is to die for :D
I really enjoyed that :) Really cool to bring a character to life like that!
Ok I know this is an older video but you inspire me so much and now I am even more excited to cosplay my Fae character Arabella !! I cannot wait to blow my party away.
Good to know I'm not the only person that thought it was a good idea to play the mechanically abysmal combination of an archfey warlock/druid multiclass :3.
i LOVE the fade colour your hair is atm! It looks amazing!
In all seriousness, great way to get more depth in a character's background, and subsequently richer and more natural RP!
when I heard about the Bard subclass in the ad-type-thing, I just went "mY cHaRaCtEr NeEdS tHaT!"
Nightshade would LOVE my Ancients Paladin/Bladesinger Wizard, Cal'thanaan. They love pickles and frequently use Prestidigitation to make anything taste like pickles.
Someone named alastor eating human flesh? The hazbin hotel jokes are too easy for it to be funny
I love Kobold Press!!! And you’re amazing as always Ginny!!
This was amazing! Thank you for allowing us to meet your character. I really enjoyed this :)
I love this! Wish I could play but (and cosplay) but can’t 😭
Thanks for the inspiration tho!
yeah i approve
"Human Beans" is pretty funny
Love your Aisling character ..just watched the video where she gets fixed up by the healer..would love to see another with the two characters..it was hilarious
I love that mug
"Tree respecter, maybe"- Ireally like that line
just lovely
10/10, would adventure with.
Also, I love Nightshade, so adorable! Give her all the pickles!
This is something, in 1980 say, I could never have imagined happening
This was really cute Ginny, well done.
This makes me want to do an interview with my Tiefling Pirate King.
"Elf wine made from tree sap." Soooooo.... the wine is made of maple syrup?
Ginny , I have watched many of your videos. I love your creativity and passion. I am always entertained.
Tree respecter...
"Ma'am, I am respectfully looking"
Oak Tree:
I would also like to hear more about Nightshades backstory.
