Quantel 1996 A flying visit. British video editing, visual effects and motion graphics equipment

A promotional video made in 1996 to help sell expensive, state of the art video effects hardware manufactured by British company Quantel. Based in Newbury, this innovative world leader of that time made high end video editing and visual effects machines. Integrated video hardware and bespoke software allowed Quantel to rule the world for a time. The Paintbox was the de facto image processing and visual design system before Adobe Photoshop took hold and often used in preference to SiliconGraphics workstations. Remote diagnostics and knowledgeable customer support kept the systems running 24/7/365 in leading broadcasters and post production companies from the Far East, across Europe to the United States.
