All my camera are powered, hardwired. The monitor will never show all four cameras. It keeps toggling through the different cameras and won't stay fixed 1-4. I have a repeater on mine.

Aven C my system was doing the same thing for weeks. I switch to a different wall outlet and rebooted my WiFi at the same time and it started working. Hope this helps.
@@Superman12321 Hey I actually contacted smonet and you have to unplug the ethernet cable as well as the mouse cable at the same time and leave it like that for 5 minutes then it should restart and work!

Do you have any how to on setting up and removing motion alarms. I seem to have set one camera on a motion alarm and it’s sending off alarms for no reason. I tried to cancel it cannot seem to cancel it.

yes the system can be set to always record. This will impact how long recordings are kept. The system will keep the newest recordings and the older ones will be recorded over.
i accidently modified or deleted my ip of my 4 ip cameras that came with the nvr system. Do you know how to readd those cameras that i may have pressed modify or auto add camera to on the video manage screen.>?

Did you purchase one with an installed hard drive? If so you may just want to return it. Otherwise, open the box and make sure that the connectors are connected to the drive. If so, can you hear the drive spin up?

When I was setting up a Smonet logo comes on my tv screen and then 5 seconds later it will turn completely black. I used the AVG adapter and SDMI and still no luck. I even switched into multiple TVs and computer monitors. Do you think I received a definitive product?
I had several systems that was doing the same thing make sure your connection is secure and check that you using the correct input if you using a vga connection sometimes the pins be off if you using hdmi sometimes the correct hdmi isn't selected if you do all of these things and still not working return
In the end of the video you explain how to view the recorded videos. But when i search for them, nothing appears. I also notice that my HD is empty, so.. i guess i never record anything at all. So. How can i be sure that im recording, what shoud i do? plz!
When I use motion detection alarms, I get countless alarms every 5 seconds, even with lowest sensitivity and a very small detection region set. Any ideas how to fix this?
Hi, and thanks for watching. I haven't been using the motion detection on my system. First I'd try rebooting the system, which you probably already have done. Is there just a lot of motion in you scene? Like maybe a lot of leaves moving in a breeze? Sorry I can't be of more help. Perhaps contact Smonet support. Google “Smonet support”. Thanks!
We have done it all! We finally figured out the best solution possible I guess, which is to only select one square as the motion detection region. With strategic selection, you can get a spot that does not get any light variations, shadows, etc. and would still detect motion in critical areas. For example, select one square on the bottom of the door, so if someone walks up to the door, that motion is going to be detected, but the reflecting light from the window up higher is not detected. That's the best we've been able to come up with.
I had the same problem. I fix it by unplugging the Ethernet cord. I left it off until my screen came back to normal. Then I plugged it back in. Hopefully it works for you
How do i set up my nvr to broadcast on my internal wifi ...im trying to just use my phone connected to my wifi network to view my cameras when im out in the yard working i dont have internet other then my phone but i do have a wifi router that i can access with my phone
I find this confusing. I get that I need a monitor. And how doest his record? I need my computer. Am I suppose to just leave it plugged up to my computer. So basically I need a new computer unit.?
@@wyonia1 The small black Smonet box contains a hard drive. That's where the video is recorded. You can play the video through an attached monitor, or through the downloadable app for your mobile device. Thanks for watching!
did the HD come pre-installed? If so, I guess I'd send it back. If you supplied the hard drive, make sure the power and SATA connecters are seated firmly. Also try a different SATA cable if you have that option. Good Luck!

Yooo if anyone sees this. DO NOT BUY this system. It is straight garbage. I had 2 critical incidents over the course of the year and Smonet cameras failed to catch either of them. The frame rate was incredibly choppy, instructions were awful, customer "service" takes days to respond to help, and the wind knocks them offline and they constantly are rebooting themselves. It's complete junk. May as well not have any system at all. You have been warned!!!

Could you see your cameras from the app from other locations? Like from work or friends house and so on?

You have to turn the cameras on for recording. I found that mine were initially set to monitor , not record.

I had the same problem. I fix it by unplugging the Ethernet cord. I left it off until my screen came back to normal. Then I plugged it back in. Hopefully it works for you
When using a newly formatted HDD will the NVR system install the GUI onto the new HDD?
