Now i'm confused because the motor function of the 3 affected fingers(thumb, index and middle finger) is retained but the sensory function is gone, all i feel around the fingers is just pain shocks and tingling. Went to rehab for 6 months and after all the therapy could walk w walker however was really off balance and kept falling.balance just got worse. Legs not working. I’ve had Schwannomas removed in my right lower extremity. Several inches of nerve, from the very bottom of the calf, up through the knee and into my thigh, was removed. I have drop foot because of the surgery. It seems that this is not going to be a good outcome for me. Curious about this as well, my nerve was also injured by a blood draw. I couldn't properly stretch my arm for 3 months, 7 months in it has mostly healed but I do still have tingly feelings in a certain area of my arm. Wondering whether that'll eventually resolve itself or if it'll stay with me.

Doing research on this! Found an interesting link between thyroid hormones and Schwann cells. Wish I could be more help but it's a starting point.

Take benfotiamine 300mg x2 a day, alpha lipoic acid 600mg a day, a b complex and 500mg of magnesium.
