Big big task. Separating of the metals, plastics, etc. The waste creators or consumers should try to segregate waste , plastic, metals, glass, biodegradables etc.
Very interesting video. With the rapid introduction of e vehicles, high power batteries and other such recyclables will increase. Are we prepared to manage this waste?
An innovative and resilient approach by the Jamshedpur municipality towards the resolution of e-waste in the environment. The efforts for optimising the e-waste collection and earning revenue from the sale through organised channel partners is an commendable step. CPCB approved facilities should be expanded due to India's large size of waste generation, additional capacity to process imported e-waste from other countries and encouragement of R&D in such facilities. Further, there is a scope of India to become a world leader and commence a world wide initiative for e-waste management in a similar way such as International Solar Alliance.
The report is not 100% correct. There are many area in jamshedpur where I found garbage dumped on main road. PC KITS , mother board, mobile charger, fridge etc
Why can't the government set up an e waste recycling facility in every state??? So much talks about Love and care for environment but when it comes to action based approach especially wrt e-waste, its a pathetic scene
I am from jharkhand and i went there and stayed there and I observed it is much better than any other city from jharkhand and even from Kolkata.
