Adding the exterior slip pockets, to the Exterior panels, and marking the exterior 5 3/4" up from the bottom for the magnets, then placing the pocket and exterior magnets together and centered, my exterior slip pocket was too short (by dimensions given in the pattern)? In another video by Brandy Jackson, she said to mark the exterior 5 1/8" up from the bottom????? HELP!

Great video. Can hardly wait to sew mine. A quick question…Is the Juki QVP a lot better for bags than the Juki 2010. I am looking to make a purchase and notice that there is a large price difference.
Hi Lenore, I have only personally worked with the Juki QVP. I spoke with Gigi of Juki Junkies and told her I needed a machine that could sit on my dining room table but have the capabilities of sewing through multiple layers including vinyl. She recommended the QVP to me and said it's coined the "workhouse" out of all the Juki machines. I have no complaints and would recommend this machine. I would consider it semi-industrial. Eventually, when my daughter moves out in the next year I'll be upgrading to a walking foot industrial Juki since I'll have the space for it. I used 3/8" however you can also use 1/2" which is what Maria who came up with the idea used.

Any advice on adding stabiliser or interfacing onto faux leather. I am always weary it makes the vinyl thinner.
I iron stabilizer like Decovil Light or Fusible foam to faux leather/vinyl. I just make sure to use a Teflon sheet between the iron and stabilizer. I make sure to move my iron around constantly so I don't burn the vinyl. Here are the sheets I purchased: amzn.to/3uyDQdi
I was just wondering....shouldn't the pattern state that the zipper pull should be on the right for the second zipper pocket on page 12, number 3 ??
I bought the pattern as soon as I could. I would like to know which size grommets you used, I cannot find the info in the pattern. thank you.
I used 3/8" grommets and they worked just fine. Maria used 1/2" grommets so either will work. 1/2" Gate Ring is what we both used.
what are you using to hold your ruler? I love that small one.
It's a suction cup knob that I purchased at a show. quiltersselect.com but I don't think they sell them on their website. Stay tuned as I have a similar product coming out in the next month on my website.

I totally understand! I wanted to include them but I only have a handful of the, left in stock. When my next hardware shipment arrives I will be including them in future kits.

I purchased the pattern on Etsy but I do not see a pattern piece for the slip pocket. I have the exterior piece A but individually they do not measure out to 8-1/2 and together too long, please help!
