Hi Danny, I really appreciate the way you broke down the scoring for the three versions! I've only played original and Summer Pavillion but would like to try Queen's Garden :) ps love seeing the glorious rain you were getting!
In Summer Pavillon, the purple flower also has the highest value, because scoring that pillar tile between purple and the middle is the hardest from each color. The middle faces the purple area with the number 5 and 6 tiles, thus it is much easier to accomplish picking new tiles by using the red area, which is connected by the numbers 1 and 2. This is why red is worth the least and purple the most.
Azul is one of the few board games I can convince my girlfriend to play - still hoping one day she'll sit down for some ark nova or spirit island though haha
hi Danny, nice video, Good coverage of all 3 Azul variants 👍 For me : the only i really like is the Azul Summer Pavilion because its the easiest to teach, and easy to catch for new player
Another AWESOME video!!! I have played all three former Azuls (I own the First one and the Summer Pavilion and played the Stained glass one at a local game Cafe/store) but have yet to try Queens Garden - but based off of your ranking and recommendation I will have to give it a try maybe even a buy!! Thanks for the video. 😊
I actually haven't played it. I love it when you find new games in a second hand store. That is a great find. I do want to try it some day! Once I do, I'll create a sequel video! :)
@@BoardGameSanctuary Thrifting is a blast! When I lived in CA, I seemed to find more vintage games. I moved to TN last October and I tend to find newer games.
@@boardgameman6298 Yes. Its so good that you can find second hand games. Not all games we buy have to be new. I've found a really cool local board game trading group who sell really good games in great condition second hand!
The tiles in the first three games are fine but queens garden greens and purples are annoyingly distracting - hope they make an expansion with two different tile colors like light pink and deep red including a new score board with these colors - loving queens garden otherwise
It does look crazy but it plays like an alternate universe version of Summer Pavilion with slightly wonky scoring. One's experience with the previous Azul titles helps immensely with how one takes to a teaching of QG. They should be learned and played in order.

19:10 "Stained Glass of Sinatra" Who knew Ol' Blue Eyes lived in Portugal?

Thanks buddy I have been thinking about buying Azul mini and your video has convinced me!
Life’s a garden, DIG IT!
Yes Azul Mini is great for travelling!

Azul is very pretty. I was happy when they themed the 5211 card game with the Azul aesthetic. That was a nice partnership.

Do u have Stained Glass of Sintra. I'm curious you take on that version. Just found a copy at my used store that was new!

@@BoardGameSanctuary That's great!
As far as I know, Sintra is polarizing. You either love it or hate it. I love it.
Is the Azul (1) scoring part of the video missing?
I didn't include it as I felt that the overview of the three games at the beginning kind of covered it. :)
@@BoardGameSanctuary I see!! Loved the video and the overview of the three!!

They probably will release other tile colours cause you can buy alternate tile colours fir the original Azul
That would be a dream come true. It would eliminate about 50% of the issues.
Queens Garden looks crazy 😱

niice BTW AZUL IN tamazight means HELLO
Azul means Blue in spanish. But in this case, azul is for azulejo and azulejo means tile.
Your yard is nice!
3:12 there is an error here, you are not supposed to take two identical symbols. Otherwise, great reviews as I own 3 exact games also!
Yes you are correct. Can't take two identical tiles of both the same colour and symbol.
You are missing a game called Azul :(
I have all four of the Azul games plus the card game.
Oh What is your order of preference?
@@BoardGameSanctuary Summer Pavilion, Queens Garden, Azul, Azul Stained Glass
Where is Stained Glass of Sintra?
You missed Stained Glass of Sintra
Azul garden sounds like 3D chess
Great Video!!
I like Sinatra. :)
Lol... Sinatra makes 🎶 🎵. Sintra is the game.
@@JJ_TheGreat I was waiting to see if anyone would catch that. 😁
I'm in love with Azul. Right now I'm okay just regular version. I love playing online too. I normally like theme games but I just love this game.
What about Master Chocolatier?
Oh I haven't played it. I made this video before that game was released. I'll look into it though!
It is the same as the first Azul, just chocolate themed.
@@Izinaima mmm chocolate...
You didn't even review Sintra!
I know! Its not one I own unfortunately.
@@BoardGameSanctuary Arguably the best one!
Azul 2 😃
No Sintra?
Unfortunately not. I havent got it or played it. For some reason it just doesn't speak to me like the others do. :(
Sinatra was a singer lol
Why does Noone like stained glass lol
The senior members of The Dice Tower like it.
I like that one!!
Sintra is the best Azul. Change my mind.
