  • As usual on the first weekend in March, the pied piper city of Hameln in Northern Germany dives into the Middle Ages. Hameln invites you to visit the Mystica Hamelon and many people came. The spectacle spans over the entire historic center up to the landing stage of the river Weser excursion boats. The visitors can see, hear and experience many things. A lot of visitors even came in medieval costumes, similar to how people wears traditional costume and lederhosen when visiting the Oktoberfest in Munich. Our walk starts on the Minster Yard, leads through the Baker Street to the Horse Market Square with the Wedding House and St. Nicolai Church and continues into the East Street, before our walk ends at the former garrison church (today savings bank) and the Pied Piper House. You miss the background music? I think, I don’t have to mention, that whenever I pull out the camera, just at this moment the music group closest to me stopped playing.
