- I am uploading this under the Fair Use Notice act so fans of Johnny and the Heartbreakers can appreciate this as it is now quite hard to find copies of. Limited Edition RSD release 2018.

We had him in our Ford Transit for some hours 4am -7/8 coz his entourage took all he thought he would have after his gijg and by accident I saw him outside, I was gone for to pee and heard the screaming and recognized him and he told me about the cruel disaster. A man a word '.Johnny here's our car we 've got almost everything beer, music and not legal substances even not in Holland me 22 and my 3 friends plus minus a year.
I didn't took long to convince him and outside it was cold in Rotterdam 🥶 he was so kind, grateful and told some stories but sadly I was to drunk and stoned to remember any.
He was the only one who played both days and the second night one of his girls came and brought me backstage and a big hug and some money he put in my pocket (hours later I count it - 5 times more than he took - and he invited us to join him for a week in Paris - all for free!!? But we couldn't several reasons and it was our 5th day no sleep and intoxicated as fuck - 800km from home and this old Transit had a top speed 85km/h - so after 3 hours of talking about this opportunity we had to say know and we should had done it but physically we had been this fucked up... When we arrived at home we made it, don't know how but we really made it, to see the Gun Club

I think this rendition is so much better than the original release.... However, anytime Johnny seemed to perform this live, it was better than the time before... some of his rapping/ramblings in the middle of this song added so much to it. It just makes it feel even more authentic than it already is. Even the Stations of the Cross live album... "Anybody wanna buy a tab of acid?"...then he breaks into this one right after they'd just played a rocker, I believe (would have to reference my cassette or vinyl to see the track listing...can't think off-hand which came before So Alone on it...). Just little touches with this song each time he'd perform it live... every single one seems to rock, and they all have their own unique feel.
This and the live at Kansas are the best versions of this song

This is one of my favorite Thunders songs, and I've thought that this mix is highly superior to the original on the album... I've thought that since the day I first heard So Alonesome. I actually feel like the majority of the mixes on the album are superior in so many ways. Great Big Kiss, Leave Me Alone... So Alonesome was truly unique. Nice to have a completely new feel on these classics without getting your typical repressing in the same sleeve with a new liner, maybe a gatefold, but in the end you're just getting the same goddamn mix basically. I uploaded a lot of the songs from the "found" masters and there's a huge debate as to whether or not those found masters are truly any better than any given remix of that album... some people still favor the '77 mixes or whichever one is produced to the point where the drums sound like machine guns almost.... I dunno. A lot of my uploads might be slightly off-pitch and I would reupload them, but Jungle finally put the whole thing out for people who didn't get the vinyl... and yeah. There's a big debate as to whether or not the sound is even any better. I still prefer the cassette copy to anything else. As far as So Alonesome, though? Truly a masterpiece as far as how they put a new spin on an old album-- or took old material and pieced it together to do so, at least. The whole album is phenomenal... But anyway, are you referring to the version of So Alone at Max's? Record starts out with a siren/marching noises I believe....?
FWIW I think the version on Stations of the Cross is pretty great.... Starts the song off with, "Does anybody wanna buy a tab of acid?" and then it just cranks. There's one other version where he's fucked up beyond belief and just starts kind of rapping at one point, and that version is so raw but also great. I would love to hear the one you're talking about if I haven't already...

If you can find it, yeah
It also comes in two colors. I will upload more of the album soon. It's definitely a huge difference from the original in my opinion. Whether you like these mixes or the original's more is on you. I actually tend to prefer a lot of these. I love Great Big Kiss... there is a single for that, as well, with an instrumental of the entire song. It's something I will try to upload as well if it hasn't been already. It's called "Mwah!"
Oh, and I believe one other difference is The Wizard isn't on this one and is on the original So Alone, if I'm thinking right. But I might be off. Long day.
