Welcome back to BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐 METALIZM was one of the most hyped before releasing the album, it got divisive critics, personally I enjoy it a lot especially the live version with the Kami Band shredding that guitar solo, and also with the new choreo, love the exotic middle eastern vibes mixed with the trance techno, but Time Wave is just a little bit on top of this one. Here's some official info about live concert today. BABYMETAL BEGINS - The Other One / Clear Night - Location: PIA Arena Minato Mirai - Yokohama. - Date: April 2nd. - Kami Band: Western Kami Band (?) Most likely. Setlist: 1) METAL KINGDOM 2) Road of Resistance 3) Iine! 4) PA PA YA!! 5) Mirror Mirror 6) Light And Darkness 7) KARATE 8) Monochrome 9) METALIZM 10) Distortion 11) Divine Attack - Shingeki 12) THE ONE Encore 13) Babymetal Death 14) Ijime, Dame, Zettai - MomoMetal wear a mic set with two pigtails just like MoaMetal. All of them with new battle dress color already shown at the official social media. Metal Kingdom started with all of them wearing the black outfit and sitting in their thrones. - Iine! was resurrected, last time performed was live in April 29 2017, Miami, USA. - KARATE once again with the young BM mirror unit performing on the stage. - Monochrome with another highlight making everyone raising their phones. - BMD original version another resurrected song (oops), last time performed was live in December 3 2017, Hiroshima (Legend S - SuMetal 20 Birthday) - At the end they made live tour announcements. Thanks for sharing this, always expect the unexpected with BM songs. See you next time 🦊🤘🔥
@@Hgoenge81 She totally deserves it, my guess now is they will bring back those kawaii metal songs they couldn't do because of lacking third member vocals and they didn't wanna go so far doing all those songs without an official member; the BM mirror unit will still performing local concert preparing them maybe for a solo section in the middle of the concert so the girls can rest a little bit. OTFGK.🦊🤘🧡
Good reaction. From the snippets they released in advance of the album this was the song that intrigued me the most - and it did not disappoint (not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't entirely what I got and I don't care, its bonkers in the best possible way).🤘 This song made its live debut in the first Yokohama show this weekend and they played it again in the second one - and apparently it was wild. I really want to see and hear that. "METALIZMIZUMIZU"
I learned to always expect the unexpected with Babymetal, and I was pleasantly surprised! This might be my favourite track of the entire album!! After "Shanti, Shanti, Shanti" that was Bollywood style, this has clear Middle Eastern influences. MetaliZumuZumuZumu
I love Su's cadence in METALIZM ( I WISH we got more of it. A 3rd verse or something) Her vocal control reminds me of Shanti Shanti Shanti, just not as much effluxion. And the beat is sooooo good. The 2 guitar solo type shredding parts are going to be amazing live. VERY curious what the choreography for it will be like. Moa is going to KILL IT. I feel like this song NEEDS it's own costume. Such an Egyptian vibe. 🤘🦊🤘
Su smashed Bollywood metal with Shanti shanti shanti, had Sabaton dancing to her euro polka beat with Oh Majinai, and now she's got Arabian/Egyptian metal with Metalizm... this is my fave so far from the new album... 🤘🦊🤘
@@NormandyGaming Thank you ! I have really enjoyed your reactions and watching you go through the whole Babymetal emotional journey of “wtf is this” to “i need to see this live” .. it’s very fun to watch !
I love this song from the new album so far. And BM did it on both of the 2 days show, and I saw it on the first night fortunately. Still, I have a lot to say about this song, haha. I listened to the new album and this song many times on the train from my home to Tokyo, and then to Yokohama where the shows were held. This made it possible for me to sing along at the live of the first night.😀 The 'Zum Zum' chant, or the play on words is killer no matter what, but more than that I want to tell how great the Japanese lyrics in part A are. The lyrics in this part really give a good sense of the rhythmic quality of the Japanese language on the notes. I really wish I could have wanted to share this joy of the Japanese lyrics with everyone in the world.. The choices of the words in the lyrics are excellent, and it is immediately obvious that it is a parody of 'One Thousand and One Nights', but it also uses other slightly old-fashioned words such as 'magic wand' (魔法の杖, Maho no tsue) and 'golden' (金色の, Konjiki no), which in turn invites some nostalgia or some exotic feelings. Su- also has a unique way of singing in it, and it is more like Enka-like songs, or old fashioned popular songs in Japan. This way of singing is described in Japanese as 'Kobushi wo mawasu' (こぶし(小節)を回す), but it is shame that no suitable English translation can be found, or I can not translate it properly. This technique, which slightly quivers the pitch of Japanese sounds, and it is similar to vibrato, but musically it seems to be different. Enka songs are often disliked in Japan, especially by young people, because it is old-fashioned, and I used to be like that when I was young. But now I like it, and if Su- sings it like that, I can not help laughing, haha. I think BM's playful songwritings are properly alive here. And some people say this song is similar to K-pop, but there is certainly a connection between Enka songs and Korea. Well, I guess that's what it means... Thank you from Japan!
Thanks for this reaction, I personally really like different, so this is probably my favorite song from the new album, they've now performed all of the live already and I hope we get to see some good videos of it soon, Japanese fans often abide by the rules and don't record shows, so not much 'fancams' are available.
I have a feeling this one was originally meant for Metal Galaxy album. I feel like it's a little dull for a Babymetal song, but would be better than normal for any other band. For a BABYMETAL song I feel like it should have been more to it and less "dead air". Dont get me wrong, it's a very good song, but it has potential to be even better.
Once you get over the initial wtf of this song and really listen to it you realise there is a lot of cool stuff going on in it, is it my favorite? No, but it is still fun to listen to and not a song I would skip
I expected it to be waaay different. It's a fuckin vibe, tho. It'll grow on you. 🤘🦊🤘 Okay. That's a wrap on the album. Good game! ... *sigh* Fine, I guess I'll watch your The Legend video tomorrow, but only because I love you. XD
@@NormandyGaming Unless they changed the song since I last heard it or we're in an alt universe where I like it better, I'm not sure it's the kind of surprise I'm hoping for. XD
I think Mortal Kombat is a good descriptor. The movies used industrial metal in their soundtracks and this song without vocals is pure industrial metal.

You should know by now there is no point in having any expectations. 😅 it's always best to just go with the flow.
Other aspect to be aware of this album is that this is a concept album. A diferent identity and abstract.

That guitar is just so wicked. It's such a weird style but it absolutely has grown on me.
One thing I know is that Babymetal is a great live band and the live version is always the best version. That's why I only ear live albums
