- Closing Keynote by Manoj Vasudevan at Professional Students Summit 2019 - Organised by Chief Minister of Kerala and State Planning Commission
Message from Manoj Vasudevan for Students of Professional Courses in India -
3 Commitments You Should Make
BACKGROUND:
Strangely in India, there are more seats than students in Professional Courses (Medicine, Engineering, Law etc). The curriculum is lagging behind the latest trends in the industry and there are far less jobs than there are graduates. Industry leaders believe graduates are not job-ready and make them attend bridging courses. - The job opportunities are seemingly dwindling in a competitive market
I believe in any competitive market, some core strategies always keeps you ahead of the rest - if you are willing to take action. In my closing keynote, Manoj Vasudevan shared 3 commitments students need to make despite challenges to stay ahead of the rest.
In view of the above, you need to make 3 commitments that will help you stay ahead of the rest and assure a lifetime of income and impact.
Attended by 2000+ Professional Students and leaders consisting of Chief Minister of Kerala, Ministers, IAS officials, Bureaucrats and dedicated faculty, this was one of the first events of its kind in India.

It seems, it is the truth that makes one confident and we are still struggling to reach to that whatever be the reason..
Hi Jitu, I believe the best thing to strive for is to be yourself. For this, it is good to understand your role models, discovering personal values and living true to your values. This makes us comfortable in our own skin
Thanx, ..it seems, values that too in comfort zone, remain in transient mode and sometimes, help only in buyancying amidst wave of untruth, being a necessity nothing beyond...
Sir ,,I got interested in ur speech while you were referring the 120 assignment thing...I think the same nd ur suggestion for us is also to get those assignments done....I wanna know is it the only solution of this problem. .I agree with u that we learn a lot from college ( time management, making friends, communicating)
Chitra, What are your suggestions?
@@ManojVasudevan if I see this condition by my side where I m an engineering student in 2nd year of my graduation ,,,I m from computer science branch nd I appreciate all informations that faculties provide us....I have no laptop ( don't judge me ,, sir) ...I tried to gain as much knowledge as I could ( only theoretical bt ) after a time I forget the basics coz I never did them practically ...( Reason -laptop) ,,my suggestion is to respect your time as much as possible ..in this quarantine period I have got to know so many things like I like reading books ,,,nd I love english ,,,there can be some presentations bt I don't support assignments ,,,nd I fear public speaking bt I believe that there is still something there for me to be learnt ....when I have to make assignments,I copy it from somewhere nd give to teacher nd there is always a room in college where these bundles of assignments are placed or used for fire or something ....I think never taking these things serious (we are nt in nursery class where we have to improve our writing ) is my suggestion ....I wanna know yours sir 🙏plzzz😊
@@Nickname1234_ Yes indeed, most of those assignments are not well designed. The curriculum needs to be upgraded. But that's going to take years because of bureaucracy and red tape. One thing you can continue to do is to take control of the situation. I remember going into University library and borrowing books that no one recommended but I felt was really good. So I read it without asking for anyone s permission. When you decide to do self-study on top of whats required as per curriculum, you go deeper in subjects you like.
Thanks !!!
You're welcome!
I love my teacher Prof Manoj vesedeven
