This would be absolutely perfect for a hunger games type of minecraft event. Ideas: - a destroyed and abandoned village that got attacked by a mysterious monster in the northern snowy mountains - a giant underground beehive in the savanna - different kinds of booby traps in the Jungle biome (made by the native villagers) - a waterfall in the center of the Jungle - an oasis in the desert - a lich king castle in the snowy mountains with spawners and loot - a big horror underground zombie dungeon near the infested village as the heart of the zombie swarm - a witch hut near the lake in the plains biome - a long deep chasm splitting the savanna from the taiga with many ressources on the bottom and a lot of lava (kind of like the World Scar in ARK) - a big mineshaft in the savanna with a whole underground village (maybe a direct connection to the underground beehive and the chasm) - a giant dinosaur fossil in the desert (maybe another abandoned village underneath the fossil with many hidden skeleton spawners, kind of like a skeleton dungeon) - a glacier looking towards the ocean in the north of the snowy mountains - a magical area in the southwest of the dark wood forest with many different colourful flower types on the ground and an entrance to an overgrown cave that leads to the Jungle - a destroyed overgrown harbour with a lighthouse in the water (which shows the location of the ocean monument) - a bamboo forest in the jungle with a small japanese inspired building in the middle (maybe an enchanted sword or a bow in that building) - a giant stronghold in the northwest ocean. It should look like a castle in the middle of the ocean and have at least one very high tower (so the player can use that area to jump off with an elytra) - a “death island“ in the northeast ocean as an arena for the wither. It should look like a dead scorched plains biome with multiple dead trees and a few wither skeletons lurking around. This area could be the boss arena of the wither - a giant luminous exotic dark overgrown cave biome right beneath the dark wood forest - the mysterious snow monster (as mentioned earlier) could live in a cave (that the player will find by reading several diaries from the abandoned village and following the clues) which could lead directly to the giant luminous cave. However, there could be even more entrances. The “magic flower cave“ could also lead to this biome. It would be very astonishing to find such a lively, exotic and colourful biome completely underground with very few entrances. This would also connect the story of the darkwood forest with the jungle as well as the snowy mountains. The diaries could tell stories from an underground world full with unknown dangers and flora. The player would be teased and hyped up by these diaries and would eventually find this biome beneath the zombie infected dark wood forest. It would add many layers imo. (Look up ARK Aberration if you want to see what I was thinking of) I also noticed that you don‘t have any birch trees on the island. Birch wood (and emeralds maybe) could be found in that cave biome
Maybe the old Soviet "Pole of Inaccessibility" for the Northern destroyed town? Something like a diary near it inside a crashed plane resembling an Li-2 maybe? Anyway I really like the suggestions!
It would be a small cute touch to find a tiny snowman in the middle of the snowy mountains with a short story of the adventures of a snow golem. Just a happy thing to find in the middle of the frozen hills.
I'm so glad that all the ambitions of a project of this size got fully realized. _Down to that Bob Ross house._ It was actually really fun finding a loom and using his supplies to make a custom banner for myself and my base. As big and epic as this map wound up being I really loved the smaller details as well that encouraged me to explore every nook and cranny. _Like the secret area hidden along the coast by the ocean of one of the biomes._
One of the biomes I wish was in this was the swamp. there’s so much potential for improvement in the Minecraft swamps, from the witch hut, to improvements in surface or underwater terrain generation(areas like sinkholes that stay just below the dirt and act like waterlogged caves but entirely in dirt, clay, tree roots, etc.) , to newly redesigned swamp trees for a more properly wild look.
@Mr Monkey biome reworks are still a valid concept even if structures are barely part of the equation. Think about the most impressive swamps irl or in other media, there’s an absolute ton Mojang could do to improve the current swamps by comparison.
@Mr Monkey something of a revamp for the underwater parts and the areas of land right at, or just below, water-level. Mud like soul-sand or soul-soil but lacking the bubble columns, the occasional patch of moss carpet on land, ‘fallen trees’ like you see occasionally in forest biomes but underwater as well, Mossy plank blocks and maybe mud-brick blocks, Maybe a heightened chance of a lush-cave biome generating beneath a Swamp or forest, ‘Submerged hollows’ like waterlogged sinkholes with mud and potentially Drowned, but I also think the hanging roots need to be able to be waterlogged. Imagine the feeling of swimming through 1-high spaces filled with hanging roots, or even just crawling through something like that, mapmaking concept ready to go right there! As a general note, the swamp trees definitely need an update, they don’t look wild enough for a swamp.
@Mr Monkey you seem to be operating on the assumption that generating structures is the only thing that can really make a biome good or interesting. Badlands biomes are a really amazing place to set up a base with minimal terrain changes, and I love the dark-oak forests and mega-taiga even if an individual example of those biomes doesn’t have the associated structures. The reason deserts are so utterly bland isn’t just that their structures are overdue for an update, it’s that it’s literally just flat sand for 98% of it. Real-world deserts generally have at least a tiny bit more variety, sand dunes, desert scrublands with low bushes, cactus, and sparse grasses… at least *something*
Decided to restart my viewing of this project. You are so god damn talented man! Like, you and your girlfriend have made a truly special thing. The buildings are incredible, the terrain is superb, the story on Steph's channel is hella good! Good job, both of you.
I would absolutely LOVE to see what you could do with Lego. you take the simplest designs, and with a brilliant touch of design touch up and intricacy here and there, you really make things look like skilled architecture and art as opposed to simply being a structure. I really think you should give it a try to something small, maybe like remaking an old castle set and see how this community likes it.

A suggestion for the map: Maybe somewhere on the map you can put a reference to the wither or the idea of making a wither? I always thought it was odd there was no references to it at all in vanilla Minecraft, especially considering it’s the only other boss in the game.
@@polarnnico Ah yeah true. The problem is though it doesn’t refer to you how to make it. For someone who has never played Minecraft before, the only way you would know is by seeing the wither picture and taking a random guess on how to make it, looking at an official guidebook by Mojang, or somewhere on the internet. IMO, if you put something(by something I mean a mob, item, quest, etc) in a game, there should be a way to tell you that feature is in it. Either through directly telling you or inferring it through the environment/writing(such as how a nether portal being made is inferred through ruined nether portals), you shouldn’t have to look somewhere else outside the game.

@@okdan2 definitely. Just finished binge watching almost all of his Minecraft build vids, maybe this marks the start of my actually-good-looking-builds phase.
Seeing the windmills silohete in the distance behind the nether portal is just awesome, you'd be so hyped wondering around and seeing that - You should defo name and map the town's like an open world game😄
what's more impressive is that by itself i recognize it as a gargantuan god build but with the rest of the village, it's actually a properly scaled windmill that matches the rest of the village. this is just fucking incredible
If you're having difficulty coming up with designs for survival-scale builds (village houses etc.), then check out andyisyoda's "5x5 building system" videos. Just a really simple modular approach that provides a great stating point for any builder. Two other RUclipsrs I found really helpful are BigBadBam (he doesn't do Minecraft anymore) and Archaleus (who is awesome). Jeracraft has some pretty good block-by-block tutorials as well. Trixy's great, but if you're comparing yourself to a guy with years of experience, unlimited play time and creative mods ... _possibly_ counterproductive?
You should add a giant tree in the plains biome. One that goes into sky's! Also some side islands would be great! Maybe a ice spikes biome in the ocean
you know what I love about this channel? It's the fact that all of these hours of work were made into a 15 minute long video with no built in ad or sponsorship, and that if he wanted to he could stretch this video into an hour long but chose not to

@@l1ghtd3m0n3 True, but technically it would be possible to include special seeds that give you a pre-built map. Obviously not going to happen though. And since you can download and play any map, there is no reason for including it in the game anyway.

*Creates a whole backstory for the cleric while the wandering trader exists*
To be fair, it's easier for the clerics since they won't despawn after 30 minutes

@@gferrol118 Nametags exist. Though, I suppose nametags can't stop the wandering trader from teleporting out of carriage.
@@KingNedya iirc renaming a wandering trader still doesn't stop it from despawning

the fact that I'm watching this after he just released the final video of the series and seeing the progress of this series it amazing
Maybe some “ancient ruins” of previous civilizations/kingdoms scattered around? I also liked the idea posted by someone else about making a cave system that connects all biomes with some secrets to it.

True
Also, when you plant trees, will they grow like that?
