@@SlaidCleavesOfficial sweet!
Beautiful how a song written by someone I’ve never met feels like it was written for me, just WOW!
After my family lost everything we had in the Eastern Kentucky floods back on July 28th, a day that definitely left a mark, we got the bruises and scars, we experienced the chaos but with my wife of 25 years were searching for that one last chance, hand in hand together through the dark…thank you
So glad you found my song, so sorry for what you've been through. Thanks for taking the time to write, and I hope things are getting better.
I'm a couple tracks into the new album, loving it so far. Plan to purchase. Thanks!
Nice to hear!
Exactly what I needed to hear in times like these ❤
Oh, I love to hear that. Thanks.
Sitting in my car, listening to this song for the tenth time, and feeling very grateful for your music. Thank you!
Wow, that means so much to me. Thanks.
I love the entire CD!!!!
Awesome. Thanks so much. (Sorry for the delayed response - just got home from the road).
I loved this when I listened to it before, but just now seeing video, beautiful…….
Thanks, Stephanie.
Great song! Thank you Slaid for you, your voice and your talent to write awesome songs that touch us all.
Love you. Seekers of the Shade forever!
Thanks, Darlene! Missed you two at the Saxon. Hope you're having a great time on the road.
My wife and I heard this one for the first time when you played in Amherst. What a great song to hold each other to. I think it's her favorite of yours!
So nice to hear that. Thanks.
Love it Slaid and Rod, thank you so much for sharing it !!
Thanks, John!

Nice to hear. And thanks, to you, and to "Someone."

I can't accurately express how much I needed this song today. Thank you.
Thanks so much for taking the time to write!
Slaid is one great writer and this is another wonderful song
Was listening to Cry yesterday
Such a beautiful, thoughtful and compassionate artist
Thank you, Paul.
Okay, how do you write such beautiful songs? Come on! Spill the beans!
I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you . . .
Oh.
Really enjoy this one! Slaid, was great seeing you in Cleveland!
Thanks, Jeff!
Love this! Beautiful video to go with the beautiful music.
Thanks, Reese.
I am loving this song. So looking forward to the new album.
Your music has really helped me get through the dark of the last 16 months since my sweetheart passed away.
Sorry to hear about your loss, Kevin. Thanks for letting me know how my music has done some good in the world.
Our family is getting psyched to see Slaid (and wife Karen) tomorrow night in Austin at his traditional Thanksgiving show at Saxon Pub. I love this new song and can count on him writing and singing great tunes.
Thanks, Jim. Hope you had a great time at the Saxon. (We did!)
Love both the song and the vid. Good job 👏
Thanks!
As usual, thoughtful lyrics and a hummable tune. Great harmonies, too. So looking forward to the new album and seeing you again in Philadelphia. We missed you the last time. First time in a looooong time! Take good care.
Thanks, Caitlin. Missed you, too! (Though I think Philly is where we picked up the dreaded Covid). Hope to see you next year.
@@SlaidCleavesOfficial Hmmm...maybe I'm glad we were out of town, just this once!
Love this, Slaid, it is a timely and uplifting piece of work. Looking forward to seeing you in Houston soon and hearing the new material live.
Thanks so much, Matt.
Love the song and the message. We need to lift each other up now more than ever. Well done Slaid!
Thanks, Old Smokey. Missed you in Phymouth.
Missed you too. That was a heartbreaker@@SlaidCleavesOfficial
Love this song. So happy to hear a new release and looking forward to the new album in March. Slaid, your songwriting is incredible and you sound amazing - as always.
You're so kind, Jaylene. Thank you.
Need MOAR!!!!
Thanks, Ray.
A classic Slaid/Rod composition. So good to hear Slaid sing a new song. I'm really looking forward to the new album, I wonder, any chance of a UK tour to promote it 🙃?
Covid really hit musicians like these good guys hard, and we've seen some decide to stop touring (Gretchen Peters amongst them). It must be dispiriting at times, it's an insecure life as a musician. All I can say is it's the thing that they love, and it beats the 9 to 5 that so many people live. I hope that they never lose faith, love for their music, and belief in the spiritual magic that they bring to an audience. They are both much loved for the pleasure that they bring to us. We owe them. Buy the album when it's out, there is no money in streaming services.
Thank you, Steven. Not looking good for UK tour anytime soon, for so many reasons beyond out control . . .
@@SlaidCleavesOfficial I can appreciate why, it's our loss. Hopefully it happens again one day. The Slaughtered Lamb in London, packed out, and pouring sweat down the walls like the Cavern remains a great memory. Our love for your music will continue, keep the faith.. ❤️🙂
Indeed, all our UK tours have been packed with great appreciative folks. Here's hoping conditions improve soon.
Amazing song, can not wait to play this while cruising at night.
Thanks, Dylan.
Wonderful...will you ever come to SC?
Hey John! SC not on the map this year. But if you know a venue . . .
@@SlaidCleavesOfficial Three venues to check out. Charleston Music Hall ( the guy that operates that (and Music Farm) - Charles Carmody should be on your Rolodex...The Charleston Pour House is also a great joint. McMurtry has played there. You have a really cheap place to stay if you come this way!
@@gonzokompadre Thanks! WIll check out.
