This video is shot in full daylight and we give our Staffordshire badgers some wet food in the hot dry summer.

We are back at the secret vadger sett in rural Staffordshire - it’s been a long hot dry period of late and the lawn is dry and baked hard.
There isn’t much water about.
A lack of water or wet food is a risk for badgers and other wildlife.
To help our badgers get through this heat-wave, we’ve left them some wet food so they can get some fluids.
They really like chopped up apples and seedless grapes.
A few seedless grapes are OK for badgers.
However, they can make some dogs seriously ill, so we only leaves grapes when we are certain that dogs will not eat them.
Our badgers eat all the grapes anyway.
It fascinating to see how badgers use their claws to hold the larger pieces of apples so they can bite into them.
