  • Kavita reached her home.
27 September 2023, we received information for "Deaf Help" that a woman has been brought to her home ashram from Chaumu Police Station. Information was received from the Ashram that this woman wants help by giving information through signs to go to her home but for this she needs the services of the centre. On this, Mr. Manoj Bhardwaj and Mr. Tarun Sharma along with Ashram worker Mrs. Khushboo Singh ji formed a team and first established communication with the deaf woman and gathered information that the deaf woman is from Jaipur. After this, taking the necessary documents with us, we set out to find Kavita's family. As suggested by the kavita, we set out to identify some places in the city. Even after mentioning some places, it is not clear from where the kavita is originally from. Recognizing Google Photos, she kept trying to take us here and there, after some time without success, Kavita was taken to the control room of Jaipur Police and shown the real time location of different areas, there also we felt that now We will definitely succeed in reaching Kavita's house. But after finding something from the control room, we did not reach any conclusion till some time. Kavita was able to give intermittent signals but neither did she know the address nor the number of her house.
But Kavita had told us that her house was somewhere near a river drain, so we again set out for some slums of Jaipur city, but still we had one more option to get biometric identification, but we got information from the ashram that after biometric identification, Efforts have already been made by him for this. Now we started searching for those areas of the city where some number of deaf people reside, without any solid information we started continuously contacting some deaf people who were of the same age as Kavita. Manoj knew some deaf people from Sanganer area who worked at a tea stall at the bus stand. After reaching there, Tarun ji was asked to contact some people on video call and try that maybe someone could recognize the kavita. In such a situation, we came in contact with two deaf girl students who talked about identifying the kavita. In such a situation, he was requested to come and meet us and help us in sending the kavita home. Like a responsible deaf citizen, both the deaf girls contacted us without wasting any time and met Kavita. "Kavita" recognized one of the two girls and started crying loudly and narrating her ordeal. By now we had come to know that Kavita is from Jaipur but we still did not get her home address because Kavita was in contact with another deaf girl only for some time. But because we had received some positive signals for Kavita, we included those girls in our search team and made a tea stall on the roadside our control room and started contacting other deaf people who could potentially be there. Can help us identify the kavita.
After several hours of continuous efforts, a deaf woman recognized Kavita and provided us with the number of her husband Omprakash. According to the information received from her husband Omprakash, Kavita has been living in an orphanage since childhood and she got married through that orphanage only. After taking information about the orphanage, we reached Mahila Sadan Sanganer Jaipur. Now Kavita had recognized her old house but she was still adamant to leave from here as the people here would get angry at her. After convincing from our side, Kavita agreed to go inside and got in touch with the officials of Mahila Sadan. After calling Kavita's husband and completing the necessary proceedings, upon Kavita's satisfaction, in the presence of Mahila Sadan officials, her husband was happily handed over to her and assured that if she needs anything in the future, we all are with her.
