I just realized that the beam stays consistent in and out of cutscenes. It's got the energy absorption/x-destroying properties of Metroids and the power of a hyper beam. Notice that enemies killed during the escape don't leave the x-parasite behind while other non beam attacks do.
I'm imagining an intergalactic arson investigator like, "Ok so Ms. Aran, you claim that the planet happened to blow up just as you were leaving, and that this has happened like 6 times now, but you maintain that you're entirely innocent?"
Yeah I'd like to see the investigator brave enough to question the methods of the woman that, when she decides something is going to die, the act of blowing up the entire planet that something is on is the only way to be sure it's dead. I'm pretty sure Samus'd be like 'Yeah, I blew it up, big whoop, wanna fight about it?"
I figured something wasn't right when ADAM was spending a lot of time admonishing Raven Beak's qualities as a warrior. But then it became hilarious when I realized that it was literally Raven Beak hyping himself up like he was standing behind the hologram of ADAM while Samus is in the room.
What finally made it click for me was that the ADAM we were speaking to on ZDR always refers to Samus as "Samus." The ADAM we knew from earlier games always called her "Lady."
The X take on the characteristics of whomever it consumes. When the orange X ate Quiet Robe, it could be that his benevolence completely overwrite the X's innate desire to destroy. Instead of going around eating everything, it used his Thoha DNA to tame Samus' Metroid DNA.

13:10 So guys.... I don't wanna cause alarm but....there was a ship docked in the top left-hand corner right here.... and its not there now...that can't be good 😅
Samus as Metroid, Raven Beak as Sephiroth (7:07), Raven Beak fused with X-Kraid, X-Quiet Robe with memory who he was and who is his ally... Now, I have seen everything. 😲
Official Headcanon, the last X is the SA-X that got spaced towards the end of Fusion. It helped you because it respects your power. Why did it turn the E.M.M.I's back on? I dunno, I didn't think that far, maybe it just wanted Raven Beak dead, and it knew that would work.
talking about SA-X i really like how the EMMI were a more refined version of that idea, in fusion its menioned theres multiple SA=X but aside that time 1 is jetisoned and another shows up its not really adressed gameplay wise, they also mentioned to have been ruthlessly huntng after you but you only see them a few times occasionally leading to a chase but once you lose them its like they cease to exist having disapeared from the gameworld even if followed through the same door. i really like how the EMMI improve on this you come acroos multiple of them and you know theyre always around doing their own things and after you beat one you can explore its hunting zone and see just how it got around from place to place and how truly interconnected it all was when you wernt running for your life
So, the Headcanon thing was mostly a joke, but think about it, this Metroid game, and Fusion were both written like an anime. We were explicitly told, that there was no way we would ever see that X again, and also that it was impossible for the ones on the BSL Station, to survive the planetary impact. Search your anime knowledge, and ask yourself this: How often, is that type of statement actually true? Almost never, right? So with nine killing machines, just sitting out there, and a Galactic Federation desperately wanting to learn the secrets of how to recreate the power suit, much like the Space Pirates, it makes sense that they'd try to catch one, only for this nonsense to happen again.
This does make me wonder what happened between Samus and Raven Beak before Metroid Dread. She fights him with a ferocity and ruthlessness that goes beyond her mission, or even her Metroid instincts. Her hatred feels personal.
For the battle is better to use Ice missiles for phase 1 and 3 while for phase 2 is better to use Rocket Storm (Storm missile). Wave beam is good only when you run out of missiles (which can happen if you dont play for 100% items and trying to get time under 4 hours like i did).
When you think about it, Raven Beak is one of the most monstrous villains in the metroid series. His short sighted actions and ambitions put the galaxy he wished to concor at risk, and lead to the death of what remains of his own species. We can assume that the Chozo were already on their way out before this point, but then came Raven Beak who asked someone to hold his bear as he went to kill all but one of the Thoha, accidentally brought the X to his own planet, and got all of his own tribe infected! He is now effectively stuck with his own mess, one from which only Samus could clean up for him. But he clearly knew only the superficial parts of her success, assumed that she could be bossed around. His arrogance, whether he acknowledged it or not, brought doom to his own people, leaving him with nothing to rule over, and lead to his own death.
I did not appreciate that the devs made a cutscenes of Samus killing the even beak for me instead of letting me do it. Otherwise this game was amazing.
So what’s up with that ending? An X-parasite enters Samus’s ship under the guise of Quiet Robe, then sacrifices itself to remove the Metroid Suit so Samus could escape? I thought the X were mindless and evil?
Wait how could an x parasite know about Metroids so well and know about her ship too unless it's the baby metroid reborn!? Hmmmmm... Edit: samus blew up a underground space pirate facility, a space pirate mothership, SR388, Zebes, a meteor on talon 4, a dark planet, a planet and tons of meteors, 3 spaceships/Labs, this planet in metroid dread, and a space pirate ship. Why and how and i... i just don't know anymore.
