I'm always glad to see any reptile owner willing to go all-out to make a wonderful home for their snake/lizard/tortoise/etc. Too often I see them cramped in a tiny tank with a bulb and little else. They don't communicate to us like a dog would, which is why I think this happens-- maybe people assume they're just like fish or something. Good on you 👍
Thank you so much for this video! I've been planning on this exact enclosure (it's currently in it's box waiting on me) to do a multi-level home for my ball python. I had been worried about how well the enclosure would do with attaching shelves to the walls-but when the make of your enclosure does the exact thing you were wondering about... Well my worries are gone.
LOVE the addition of the light on the lower shelf. Great for the snake and looks amazing. The vines at the top really did bring the whole thing together. Can't wait to get my 4x2x4!
The planning part of this video is so cool, the graphics to show exactly what you are planning to do! I am considering a 4x2x4 for my ball python, am curious about shelves and how to ensure the enclosure stays warm 4 feet below the heat source that is at secured to the top of the enclosure. hmmm... although he can stay warm on the shelves and enjoy a gradient in heat.
Thats basically how we looked at it. The heat is a vertical gradient as well as horizontal. Chip loves to climb and we will find him using both his warmer basking cave or the lower cool cave. It gives him lots of options!
How is Chip doing with his new setup? And how does he stay warm enough at night? Is there a secret UTH somewhere? Hard to describe, but I’m thinking of putting one in between two thick enough layers and making that a shelf somewhere.
@@Killjoybb Chip has been doing amazingly in this setup. In our reptile room it is usually kept fairly warm so we don’t need supplemental heat at night for him. You could utilize UTH on a shelf, just be sure the shelf is PVC to avoid any fire risk. You’ll also want to keep it on a thermostat to avoid it getting too hot and causing burns. You could also use a deep heat projector as an alternative to supplement heat at night should you need.
I loved your enthusiasm and positive energy throughout the whole video! The detailed explanation and your happiness when you see your vision becomes reality :) Plus the overall format/structure of the video where on point. Keep up the good work 🙌 Awesome enclosure and great channel. Subscribed!
Thank you so much!!! We’re so happy you enjoyed the build so much. Kasey has been doing such an amazing job on all of her builds so far! She has lots more planned too. 😁
I absolutely love this set up!! But where did you put the heat source ? Is this a bioactive set up? If not how do you go about cleaning and sanitizing? This video was great but something more in depth would be amazing!!
We use overhead lighting for his main heat source. The heat gradient in this enclosure is more of a vertical one as opposed to a horizontal one and it works really well for him. It is a bioactive enclosure, we used isopods and springtails.
This turned out amazing! I know this is a older video and u all might not see it. But this definitely inspired me to spruce up mt tank for my super banna pastel ball python.
No, he has Zen Caves which have slate tops to give him some nice Bally heat if he wants it. The temps keep really well and we haven’t needed to supplement any other heating options.
I took a few breaks but total I would say probably a 4-5 days. Just because I wanted to make sure the spray foam was fully cured before carving it. But it was pretty easy otherwise.
Yes!! Even though they are terrestrial snakes, they could benefit from a variety of places to climb. Our 4’x2’x4’ Enclosure would be perfect for them! 💚
We actually just picked up the brackets from a hardware store (10in shelving brackets) the shelves themselves were made from PVC sheets. Hope this helps! 💚
What part of this enclosure build video made you go "WOW!!"
That tree is awesome!!!
Kasey created such a cool looking tree!!
The tree and platforms
I love the roominess of this size enclosure and Kasey is so creative in designing "reptile decor" . Love this

I could not pick one thing in specific. The build all together is absolutely astonishing and beautiful
Thank you so much!! Kasey did such a GREAT job on this build!
Wow! My python would really enjoy that enclosure. Great job!
Thank you!! He LOVES it! Check him out in our latest video reptile room renovation video, he is slithering all throughout his enclosure! 💚
What light did you use for heating that big of an enclosure?
This was the coolest setup I've seen. I Love these types of builds and the companies that care about their animals.
Much appreciated!!💚
Literally just started researching to upgrade my ball python & found this first😍. So many decor ideas in my head now !!
So glad you found some inspiration from our video! 💚💚
Thank you for the awesome ideas and video!!!

That’s like a $2,000+ project. Right on!
This looks great, but how do you sanitize it with the cocofiber and moss on the tree and shelves?
I wonder the same thing for any of the builds I see on you tube doing the same thing.

Did you use fake moss to cover the shelf brackets?
It was dried preserved moss.

We’re so glad that you got some ideas from this setup! 💚 If you take any pictures and post them be sure to tag us!
@@zenhabitats will do!

I love how much space the ballpython have ❤
Thank you!! Chip has been thriving in his new enclosure ever since!!
How long did the build take overall? Would love to do this for my royal python x 😊
I took a few breaks but total I would say probably a 4-5 days. Just because I wanted to make sure the spray foam was fully cured before carving it. But it was pretty easy otherwise.
Would this be a good enclosure for a hog island boa?
Yes!! Even though they are terrestrial snakes, they could benefit from a variety of places to climb. Our 4’x2’x4’ Enclosure would be perfect for them! 💚
love this chip very cute I want a BP soo bad.been researching for a yr. .that a great enclosure .love
This has to be one of the best jobs ever!
It honestly really is. 💚😁
Good job we just got a new tank to put our ball python in
Awesome! What did you get?
Where did you get these shelves!?
Kasey created them from some spare Zen panels, and some shelving brackets!
AMazing!! Lucky Chip!!
Such a great build! I love everything about this…wanna come to my place and build this 😂 Seriously though do you sell the pieces for the shelving?
We actually just picked up the brackets from a hardware store (10in shelving brackets) the shelves themselves were made from PVC sheets. Hope this helps! 💚
Muy exotico
What about the turtle 🥺🥺
We have a full build video where we created the first Zenquarium for our turtles 💚 You can watch it here ruclips.net/video/_w8C7VAcpMM/видео.html
How much would this cost if I got it all on ur website
Life is like a box uhh chocolates
