You are about to live my dream! I want that someday. I hate living in a busy city (across from a homeless shelter- that arrived AFTER I moved in). I want to live in a peaceful place in the woods where I can step outside in peace and not see any other humans!

I wish you both so much love and happiness and blessings together for all the rest of your lives, and I hope I can find a love like yours someday. ❤💐

What you are describing sounds like canker sores. I have gotten them when my toothbrush has scratched the inside of my mouth. I swish hot salt water. It burns but heals them faster. Really large ones my dentist cauterized. They are so painful. I'm so sorry you have these.

As a homeschool mom, I watch these videos with my boys. Today they had some questions for you and asked me to send them. Question 1. Were Hispanic people living in this area during the 1800's? If not , why? Did people in the 1800s have a way to cool their homes in the heat? Did they not eat after a certain time of the day? Was there soda back then? Did they eat sandwiches? Thank you so much for being so wonderful and so informative. We love your channel very much.

Vitamin C, Zinc, and D3 are also important to take daily to address viral and autoimmune triggered mouth sores. Additionally, One mouth and gargle rinse that I use every few days and especially when I’m sick (thanks to my dentist) is to gargle with water cut with a little bit of hydrogen peroxide. It helps heal the mouth and cleanse it without being harsh and irritating. You the give a final rinse with just water after the peroxide gargle. It’s proven time and again to help just regular sore throats as well, like during strep or flu. But I would try it for your mouth sores and see if it doesn’t help.

Important to get it nailed down before having kids.

for the blisters, I used to have them a lot. I found out it was an issue with my stomach. You need a period of intense detox. Nothing acidic (although water and lemon juice in the morning is ok), no inflammatory food and no sugar. Try living without hot sauce for a while 😄
I would also try some therapy to restore your gut microbiome, that can get easily f*ed up after an illness.
Either than that, the new house looks amazing!

I'm 79 years young and grew up in a house that my dad built with the help of his father, brother-in-law and some other relatives and friends. We lived in the basement for a couple years until they could afford to add the main house. It was a 3 bedroom ranch with one bathroom that remained mostly unchanged for close to 30 years. A breezeway and garage were added about the 25 year point and then a master bath about 10 years later. You will always be justifiably proud of what you're accomplishing as will your children and grandchildren. I hope you always keep that approach to the house. It's so idyllic and charming. With a couple trees in strategic spots, it will be stunning. I wish you a lifetime of happiness and great memories there!

You both remind me of me and my husband when we were your age. We bought land in NH, I designed a Cape Cod, and we built it (mostly) ourselves. Full basement too! We raised our 4 children in that beautiful white cape cod with black shutters, and a red front door. It’s so good to see skilled young people working hard to build the life they want. Good luck to you both. Enjoy this time in your lives. You’ll look back at it fondly one day.

I will absolutely love you guys being in that lovely house!
You can even have the storyline that you found that treasure you were searching for, were able to afford to move into a much nicer house, invited the Frenchman who was your former landlord to visit, and helped others less fortunate.
You can even have an episode where you give the log cabin to someone in need of a home.
    There's so many possibilities.
But you've been looking for that treasure, and you can say that you finally found it, and became well off, so now have a beautiful house and property to show for it. 😉

I love what you are doing with your house... I was going to move and restore an early 19th-century log house... What a can of worms that turned out to be... So.. instead I bought an original 1833 Tennessee log house that was 'improved' and added to for the following 50 years... It is very original and never really restored... 19th-century window sashes and cylinder glass... There are old stone fences and a wonderful stone springhouse... I love it... I plan to build a summer kitchen in the yard... I am removing much of the old plumbing and actually living in period fashion... Electric will go later... I am hoping it will become a living history museum for school children...

Your home and land is just gorgeous and I love the period style your are fashioning your home in. Wise plans constructing your home with the cross ventilation. My husband grew up on an old farm and the whole family raised sheep. I always marveled at the way the old farmsteads were built in a way that they appear nestled in between pasture and shade trees and the homes never felt hot like a modern day buikt home. May have been due to the thickness of the walls. All of this to say I really enjoyed the tour and thank you for showing us.

My father was a contractor….the last 4 houses 🏠 he built was his children’s homes….i built my house with my Daddy, ex husband, uncle, brother in law, sisters & brother! It was hard hard work!! I used to stay @ the house painting until 11:30 pm every night…go to work as a nurse new day @ 6am…..tiring times! Nailed the subfloor, pulled electrical wires, insulated….all of I!! I will be looking forward to your finished house! ❤

Counter weighted windows were first used in 1669 should look into that. Then you will not need a stick to hold the window open.

Live the calming effect you both portray, reminds me of my grandparents, especially her cooking.
Mouth sores were identified by my dentist as an allergic reaction that fluoride. I have used none for nearly 20 years. If they do show, it’s gerd, triggered by an acid or fried foods. My heart feels for your mom. My grandfather taught me to use the inside aloe “leaf” to create an aloe drink for his stomach issues. Man lived on buttermilk and it worked. I use too and with diet change I’m better. Hope you and mom feel well soon.

Your fever sores sound painful, Justine. You may want to try an elimination diet, similar to a keto diet. No gluten or sugar and most veggies. Basically a meat, eggs and some dairy for at least 4 weeks, maybe longer. Then you can start to add foods back slowly. Hope your feeling back to normal soon. And love the house!!!

Cool house for sure! I see you have central heating and AC with your air handler/duct work on the 2nd floor and heat pump outside. Glad you put some modern comforts in too!

Justine! Rinse your mouth with diluted salt water and use a salt that's like ancient salt like Redmonds Real Salt. Also look into oil pulling like coconut oil swishing then spit out outside, not in the sink. My husband has sensitive issues. Try it out. I'm not a doctor. I'm one of those go natural stay at home christian moms! Also love the new house and we will watch you no matter where you decide to live! The house looks gorgeous! I'm so jelly!!! Love ya both!

There is so much potential for your house Ron and Justine. We renovated our house and did it all ourselves. It took us 10 years to complete and loved it so much. Good luck for the future to you both….

Justine, rinse with salt water a couple times a day.
The walk through on your house is amazing! Looks fabulous!
My favourite fruit for pies would be 1. Peach, 2. strawberry and rhubarb, 3. apple. 😋
Hahaha Ron, my grandpa did the same trick with his dentures. I thought it was the funniest thing ever, I would ask him to do your teeth.
