There's beauty in the music and paired by the nostalgia felt by millions around the globe, it is not bold to say that this is one of the best, if not the best pieces of music ever composed for Harry Potter (or any other movie for that matter.)

The masks of Death Eaters, the roars of giants, the swarm of acromantulas, the constant explosions from curses, the falling of bodies. I was lucky enough to survive but many of my friends were lost that night. May they rest in peace. I couldn't go back to that school for years. You had to have been there to understand the true horror that battle was.
This music is epic and the meaning to it is so powerful, this is definitely one of my personal favourite battle musics of all time and many other people’s too

Stuff for the legends. Also one of the few times I really wished for a more immersive experience too. 🙂 I did the same for The Hobbit + Lord of the Rings, extended movies only. Legendary experience, it happens only once in a lifetime.

So close! But the absence of that key shift and tonality from the original falls short of Desplat's true intention. The tension MUST be released by shifting into that major key and bass crescendo. Hoping for a part 2 with that resolution.
