Thanks. Go for it once it snows again. I guess you can do it anywhere, but we typically do it at our local ski resort (Dodge Ridge) once the season is over. Bailey struggles a bit if there is too much pow. The day in the video was late spring conditions so the snow was pretty junk, but fun for her. She is hauling at the end on the hard pack.

Most people don't let their animals work as they should. An average K9-er hardly sees the outside of his/her house for an hour per day. We often forget they're a direct descendent of the gray wolf, Canis lupus. A grey wolf covers a 400km² territory, often walking and running 20km average per day. Therefor a dog has up to 4x more VO2 max capacity then we, homo sapiens, do. It's simply in their DNA. This was at my local ski resort, Dodge Ridge. When the resort closes, we snowshoe up and board down. My dog loves it.

how do you keep their paws from getting a lot of snow packed in it? my dog has that issue and doesn't like wearing boots.

Bailey has never had snow stuck in her paws. Maybe different breeds? We live in the mountains so maybe she is used to it. The snow in the video is spring like conditions after our local resort closed.
