Thank you for posting the video. Student pilot here. I am using it in tandem with my instructors lesson on the subject. Is there a typo at 2:05 in the video where you say "Mandatory for VFR" on the bullet point or am I just not understanding it?
Mandatory in the sense that if you are in Class B, C or D airspace you need to be talking to ATC. Whereas, in a TRSA a VFR pilot doesn't have to talk to ATC.
Had my mock checkride today and there was a bit of a discussion about TRSA. This will be a good addition to study material. Thanks!
Yes, it is an often a barely discussed topic during PPL flight training. But it shouldn't be.
Thank you, Mark. This was very informative. I subscribed!
You are welcome.
Why do they not just designate these as class C?
The first instructor I ever had, my primary instructor for PPL, now flies that exact plane in the very beginning of this video. Falcon 900 N610RL
