The fastest way to max out a character only works for Toxic Brainz. Just go to the plant base in the backyard and spawn kill the bosses. You can't die and you kill a boss in 3 seconds with the toxic meter. Every boss kill is 200 xp, trust me, it's op.
The Leveling Up Trick ive been doing is going in the backyard, doing the Invincibility Glitch, then going to town on the bosses. But this method seems faster and a lot less repetitive

theres a much faster way for corns and peashooters, you do herbal assault on zomburbia, set it so theres no plants, and set the zombies to "cosmic overload", and make sure the difficulty is easy. if your grinding with a kernel corn, select bigger better butter as your first ability, if peashooter, select sombrero bean bomb, after you break the walls, go to a corner right at the capture point, and wait until your at 15 hp or less, then drop your ability, if it goes well, you will die then the bigger better butter or sombrero bean bomb will go off, giving you 50 xp for the vanquish, +100 for revenge of the grave, and another +100 for capture vanquishes, plus multi vanquishes, and since theres about 8 or 9 cosmic brainz each time, you get over 2000+ xp from that one interaction

You can also do this with chomper, burrow or warp to the point, and continuously back pedal while attacking the bots in a circular fashion around the point, also keep gooping whenever it comes back up. This works really well, especially for spray chompers.
There’s a glitch to promote a character to level master I have been doing it and it’s op i have a bunch of plants and zombies at max I recommend it,it gives you like 300,000 I think maybe more per character to max👍

I always thought Ops would be the best way since it also takes on average only 3 full games to level up to 10, but considering how one full Ops game takes about 15-20 minutes i only now know its actually not. Of course you might as well go play actual multiplayer for fast xp cause how each PLAYER kill gives 200xp. (Not even considering extra xp you get if they were on a kill streak, or if you save a teammate from getting killed ect ect.)

wait a second hear me out. you do this but have no bots on your team so its just you vs the ai. but instead of picking up the orbs you can just keep killing them over and over untill you reach level 10 in 1 match
it isn’t a question of skill really basically put the gamemode in herbal assault or garden n graveyard (you must be on the attacking team) the attacking team layout can be the 7 plant or the 7 zombie (or no one if you feel confident about your skills) meanwhile the defending team would preferably be sunflowers or peashooter(preferably peashooters), and for zombies defending team is either super brainz or scientist easy difficulty ofc the whole point is to grind exp. now the strat is to kill a maximum number or opponent whose are in the objective meanwhile you yourself are in the objective, this will give bonus exp for each kill if you are inside the target objective, as to why you must kill your opponent inside the objective only and not outside is because bots will try to reanimate their ally and thus serve as the perfect bait. now the rng part come down to how long the game will last you would preferably gain as much time as possible to get as much xp as you want so the point isn’t to kill everyone as you would preferably want them to stall your teammate but still this isn’t something you could entirely control and sometime your ally decide to be intelligent all of a sudden, but with good timing you can easily go from lv1 to 10 in one game. Bear in mind that you’ll die a lot more than you think in the process but that part of it, and you must remember to try and keep at least one opponent in the objective to gain more time. that how i grinded most of my engineer, rush toward objective, pop out turrets mode, start a massacre, get killed, restart.

u can also combine that with pretty much any zombie and the flag of power glitch
And you can make it even easier if u use the godmode glitch, if you have a friend/splitscreen available, use the damage glitch

Little tip go with a enemy team of just sunflowers they will summon potted plants for a extra 20 xp and they will revive eachother for more xp

I know the glitch bro it's a pretty opp one but it only gives 100,000 coins per character but still it's a very good glitch

Just playing the game normally will give you more xp because in a regular multiplayer match you get 200xp per kill 😂

Fastest coin method I know is Suburbination or Turf against bots on Hard (Crazy is just a bit too much for me as I’m more casual)
