- Other Reminders:
*Don't use chlorinated water as it will negatively affect the ferment, as well as will give poor yield result.
*You can use muscovado/brown sugar/honey as an alternative from molasses.
*A good ferment gives a sweet-sour smell.
*Always wear your personal protective equipment to keep you safe in all types of work.
*Pen and paper for labeling.
*I totally forgot to list down Manila paper in the must-have materials as means to covering your fermented product. You can also use clean cloth if ever Manila paper is unavailable.
*Your ferment should be kept in a cool and dry place, and away from stray animals.

Hello my friend King Bars, yes you can use seaweed fertilizer in corns as it serves not only as a fertilizer itself, but also as a natural herbicide as well. There is no toxicity in organic fertilizer, so I guarantee you it’s safe and natural. Thank you for asking! 😇😊

Would adding surgar to it help break down the seaweed?
The sugar/molasses/muscovado serves as food to microbes and helps them to hasten decomposition. Without it, fermentation process will not be successful. 😊😊

Do you clean the seaweed or wash it with fresh water before chopping? Or is it processed as is? Thanks!
It is necessary to clean and wash the seaweeds with filtered seawater as it helps to remove the debris as well as the marine life that could possibly deteriorate your ferment.
How many days i can preserve it after harvest?
Because of the nature of the product, the shelf life is shorter than granular, inorganic products. To get the longest life out of your seaweed fertilizer, store the fermented product in a closed container at room temperature, out of direct sunlight. Under these conditions, it will stay stable for a year. 😊
