How have I not watched this video yet? "...like most songs in the world do." Separating what you are doing from the end result is the hardest thing to do sometimes, but if you can get there it's unbelievably satisfying.
They’re very different in my mind (I have both). The Data Corrupter is a pretty extreme fuzz/distortion that can make some bizarre sounds, but it’s always operating as a fuzz/distortion type effect. It couldn’t do any of the things in this video, for instance, nor is there anyway to do stuff with it that will sound very clean. The Syntax Error does have some distortion sounds in it, but they’re not as skull-crushing as the Data Corrupter. Plus the Syntax Error has a number of other things it can do that will work as “clean” effects, like the flanger in this video.
I think it's pretty obvious at this point that your channel, along with your playing, is lightyears ahead of anything else guitar-related on YT.
