My cousin was the drummer for Audacity. I was at countless burger shows. The scene was fun. However I just want to point out that burger as a label did a LOT to support Female artist and bands. Including Burger a go go, an all female band led festival. It truly sucked that these few ruined it for everyone.

The thing about No Parents is that their original drummer and bassit left the band a few years before the allegations. They now play in a band called "NISS". The female vocalist of said band being heavily linked to the last iteration of No Parents. I wonder if they dipped once they found out.

The framing of the closing and honestly most of the issues are a bit concerning here, like if people are getting raped to me it seems like that’s the bigger concern than the impact it has on music. Like for bands on tour the advice to them imo shouldn’t be “Don’t try to have sex with underage fans because it might impact your music career” as much as “Don’t try to have sex with underage fans because it’s insanely wrong and harmful to do.” Like you’ve got a talent for making these docs, but the people these bands preyed on were people man, and often kids, it’s a bit dark to even treat this like a music issue.

Sucks that not long after I got into this scene from a guy who lives out in the Midwest where we don’t get these kinds of bands as often, but before all of this broke I saw Wavves,Fidlar, not included in allegations thank god, but also saw Swmrs and the Orwells when they were touring..shocked me that the Orwells were that much of dicks behind the scenes.. but I do remember noticing Mario was of corse very hammered, and they were definitely giving out that bad boy vibe..Also saw Swmrs with the regret’s tour when shi was going down behind the scenes on media..those moments I always will remember, but sucks those two main bands I mentioned went down low with this crap.

@@nikitahichoii482 Go see Phish! It´s not wrong, but I don´t agree with the way it´s dealt with. I´m vintage and when I moved to the countryside 12 years ago I stopped going to shows. I like many kinds of music but the shows and scene I enjoyed most was the garagepunk scene, I liked small venues and wild parties. From my point of view these were also the least sexist (and racist) people I have encountered. So I was shocked when I heard about the Burger Records-drama, but most of the incidents were far from shocking (again: to me). In my time, if somebody crossed some lines he would go home with a black eye and hopefully learn from that.
