    thank you for sharing...please tell us where we can get that speaker glue and the other damping glue you put all over the outside of foam...? and where is a Part 2 ❓

    You used the bok same glue between the foam surround and gasket and on the surround and dust cap?

      Thank you!
      I used speaker glue to attach everything together (foam surround dust cap etc.) then I applied what Tannoy calls, “damping fluid” on top of the foam surround.
      I could be wrong but the damping fluid seemed a lot like watered down glue

      The original foam does look like it was treated with something like a glue.
      I'll try to google it but if you have some link to buy the damping fluid I would be grateful :)

    why did you paint glue on the outside of the surround??

      Tannoy calls this a “damping fluid” that is supposed to make the foam surround slightly more rigid. It may very well be some sort of PVA glue that’s been diluted but the label on the bottle just says damping fluid. Hope this helps!
