Thank you Bobby for the positive feedback. I make the videos mainly for myself. I'm quite dyslexic in that I have very poor memory and relay on them for reassembly. It gives me pleasure if they are of use to others

I have a 1978 Honda cb125s and that's exactly how I feel when my bike doesn't want to start. I just feel like getting a new bike with an electric start sometimes. But I love my old Honda. That's a great-looking engine you have there. If you have the time you can check out some of my videos too.

I have the same bike, 1978, is yours red? Haha! I feel the exact same way. This was my first motorcycle and now I don't ever want to get rid of it.

Yep, Red Is Right. I keep working on it but I'm so happy it gets me around. Good luck bro.

Do you have a spare carburetor? I just cant find any. Have a 78 too.

@@jacobriehl1497 I wouldn't recommend a chinese aftermarket cheapo. I made that mistake and my bike didn't run worth of shit even after doing all the proper adjustments. I bought an OEM Honda carb from a 1976 off Ebay. That has worked great and has lots of power at full throttle.

@@benjamineastman9950 already tried putting an aftermarket carb on. Didnt even start. I just cant find oem ones on ebay. Probably because im from germany.

Sorry to be ungrateful, but you blew through the process of reconnecting the throttle cable and slider assembly into the carburetor.

My apologies, sometimes i don't capture everything I do, downside of being an amateur I'm afraid. It's Very straight forward and I suspect there may be similar videos on RUclips , most of these small capacity machines have almost identical carburettor setups. Try mustie1, he covers motorcycles and definitely covered this on a recent video.

Looks like that a bit too advanced judging by that kickback.

You are correct. I got her running and then tweeted the timing with a cheap eBay timing gun. Starts beautifully now.

Too much like bloody exercise, I'm reasonably fit but for some reason, kick starting a bike kills me lol
