      Dry cat food like Friskies, Meow Mix, 9 lives works for back pain more than pain pills.They are small enough to swallow like pills,Swallow about 2 or 3 at a time like you would pills till you swallow about 12 of them. Swallow with juice and you won't even taste it.

    I was diagnosed with two ruptured disks, L4 & L5. It happened from a car accident a few years ago. Currently laying in the floor after a complete meltdown from how bad the pain is. I don’t wish this on anyone, this is no way to live. I know I can at least walk (barely) and I’m grateful I can but this pain is so unbearable. I’m 25 and the thought of living like this for the rest of my life scares me and makes me so sad. The stem cel therapy is so expensive and insurance doesn’t cover it. The epidural cortisone steroid injections only work for so long and I don’t have insurance now so it’s an uphill battle. Sending all of y’all healing energy. Reading these comments helped me feel less alone but also made me really sad to know others are going through this.

    My mom has this and she can barely step on her right leg. She has this on L3, L4, L5 and S1. I have to massage her leg every day but its fine for me. Its so severe that I think that she is going to get surgery a year later. Even though I am only 10 years old, I know quite a lot about the human body. It's like an electrical shock virtually every time I move. The pain is awful, I take about 20 mins to straighten up and when I walk it looks strange as if I have a broom handle up my arse. This has happened roughly 6 or 7 times over 2/3 years each time lasting for 10 days to 3 weeks. This time I used Naproxen tablets 500mg 2 times daily along with Ibuprofen gel which can ease the pain somewhat. *Apart from that I'm as happy as Larry* although never known who Larry is. :)

    Best advice I ever received to avoid backpain: strengthen your core/glutes and learn how to do the hip hinge.
    Hinging at the hips to bend down will feel weird at first (especially if you're a guy), but your lumbar will thank you

      I’m 27 and work in an office environment. I’ve had minor lumbar pain ever since throwing out my back when I was 18. I made two changes that have almost eliminated this pain - swapping out my desk chair for an exercise ball and strengthening my core with resistance training.
      Not sure how this would fair for someone with more severe pain but holy hell does my lower back thank me now after neglecting to do this for years.

    • @davmatt941
      @davmatt941 2 года назад +3

      @@pranay6662. Resistance training AKA getting my ass to the gym. There are machines that allow you to do a Back Extension to focus on building strength in your lower back. Also use machines that focus on strengthening your abdominals. I eased into them since I’ve never really done any kind of exercises like this before.
      As for the exercise ball, I just bought one that was big enough for me so my legs form a 90 degree angle while sitting down. I also focus a lot on my back posture while sitting down. Physical therapist told me whenever I sit down, “stick your butt out like you have a tail.” Very easy to slouch when you sit down and this helped me as well.
      If you are in the same situation I also highly recommend going to a physical therapist because they will surely be able to give you advice specific to your needs.

    I have had sciatica pain in both legs for 4 years. Finally I demanded an x Ray. It said I have moderate arthritis in my lower spine but I insisted on an MRI and in that time between waiting for it I herniated a disc and it showed that in the MRI. I couldn’t move or walk without extreme pain..however because my leg pain was gone I couldn’t have surgery. I had leg pain but no back pain for 4 years and now my back pain is worse then any leg pain I have ever had, which was terrible at times. I feel for people with siatic pain it is awful but for me it just went from leg pain to back pain and my back pain is the worst thing I have ever felt. I can’t take normal steps because the pain is awful. I can’t sleep because I can’t extend my legs to get into bed, I can’t bend over or do simple tasks like putting on pants or socks is horribly painful.

    well i got some great news for most people. Unless you were lifting a extremely heavy object over 100 pounds your not going to get a raptured disk or some sort of disk injury or muscle tear. If you do injure you spine by tearing a disk you wont feel pain but get paralyzed.
    If you are feeling extreme pain in the back after lifting something under 50 pounds or for twisting the wrong way YOU HAVE PINCH NERVE.
    A pinch nerve occurs when the nerve moves out of its place in the spine which than is either squished or starts rubbing against bone or muscles.
    The trick to curing a pinched nerved is that you have to move it back into place. The easiest way to do this to simply bend back as far as possible laying down and than twist to the right or left which will cause the nerve to readjust back to its normal position. If you feel extreme pain you should do leg stretches by trying to lift you leg as far up as possible or by pulling your leg to your chest as far as possible. Than the pain will go down but you still must lay on your back as far as possible even if you feel pain and twist it to try to move the nerve back into its place.

    • @justinrobbins85
      @justinrobbins85 3 года назад

      I hate to say but you are wrong. I have a herniated disc and that is what is pinching on my nerve not from my nerve moving. Exercise does not always work. I've been dealing with this since 2005 and have plenty of paperwork from Drs and knowledge about this.

      Actually, my anatomy teacher taught that the back is specifically one of the stupidest constructions in comparative anatomy. Basically it is a double curved springed bow-like structure which doesn't usually last well for 40 years. If you were a god you could not design a worse structure. Further, looking at other anatomy consider the prostate. Would you design a urethra surrounded by a constantly growing muscular structure that would strangulate your urine flow. Would you design the kidneys to be backed up and poisoned by the strangulation of your urine flow. If there is a god, he is surely one incompetent moron about anatomy. And there are many more examples. Chances are a back surgeon knows more about anatomy than any cheap second-hand gods. As far as god goes....I would have to call him not even a CNA..

    I'm seventy nine, former swimmer and soccer player and felt great until this hit me,
    Almost overnight I felt old for the first time.
    My understanding is that when this hits, it comes almost out of nowhere and strikes with a sudden vengeance, that's how it hit me!! The V.A. (I'm a Viet Nam Vet) took Xrays which confirmed that I have disc degeneration. Ouch
    Long story short, I researched the condition and found just one tiny little voice that said: THE DISCS CAN BE REGENERATED!!
    What??
    That's right. Not the outer-shell of the disc ((Annucleus Fibrosus), rather the jell-like liquid inside the disc (Nuclrus Pulposus)
    Oh, I did say long story short, didn't I? So here it is: It's all about decompression.
    I immediately got myself a decompression table (It's the kind that flips over) and two months later I can happily report that I'm almost back to normal. I used to have to walk bent down at the waist and stop to crouch down every three or four steps. I said almost because I still have to watch it when it comes to lifting and like that but I realize that wear and tear over decades may take time reaching optimum!
    Remember, this is not a disease! It's simply wear and tear from usage or some trauma.
    If you would like do know more I would be most please to respond.
    I'm at danbravin@gmail.com

      Hello There D R! Cheer up as it may only be temporary! I had the same issue and now I understand why. Firstly, back pain can result from bad posture during our daily activities, lack of exercise and wrong moves. The intensity of the pain, doesn’t always correlate with the severity of the situation. We instantly think that moving causes more pain, but actually, exercising increases the blood circulation in the affected area, which leads to a faster recovery. I have used a simple product that you can use anywhere and it does the work for you. It is designed by chiropractors and physiotherapists for people to relieve the pain at home. All you have to do is to lay on it or put behind you on a chair, and it stretches the spine, relaxes the muscles and gently massages the area. I have experienced instant relief and a great improvement after a few sessions and will recommend this to anybody. The one I used was from www.drspinex .com and it really did the work. Hope you got some value out of this and I wish you nothing but good fortune and health! :D

It appears in gape of 8 Or 9 months smtime even years.. It varies in severity though.. Now why as am commenting its hurting me since since couple of days.. #1. Stop it getting worse. Make your core muscles super strong.
    Really focus on good posture.
    Never sit unless you absolutely must.
    Do not lift anything.
    #2. Use your mind best you can to ignore the pain. Easier said than done hey?
