Those cars are sick! I’ve driven a couple and even driven the 740 and they’re soo comfy
I have a 98' SL I've slapped coilovers on it added a x-pipe dual exhaust it's a beast...need to see more of these cars on the road modded youngsters hit me up all the time about selling it and weren't even born in the 90's😂just shows the swag the R129's still have...nice video bro🤙

@@kikiscustomsmaybe it has a soft rev limit in neutral like most auto ecus do, and since it has the auto ecu still I’m guessing it thinks it’s in neutral and is engaging the neutral soft rev limit. But that’s just a guess really.

This is so sick. My big project rn is to put an m113k into my 96’ toyota supra shell. Still looking for a wrecked 55amg car for the parts but how did you get the ecu to let it work and also for the cd009 trans did you have your adapter custom made or is there someone that supplies them?
Adapter is from xf motorsport, they also make one for the m113k but there might be wait times. Ecu doesnt have to be changed at all

I just have 1 question. When you hit the NOS, why doesn't enter warp speed like the movie The Fast & The Furious? Make sure "Warning!!! Danger to Manifold" light doesn't come on. If it does, your passanger floor board is subject to come flying off. Lastly now that you got a manual transmission, you need to learn how to properly shift gears. You're over here granny shiftin', not double clutchin' like you should. Hahaha
Joke's aside, you did excellent work. Im very impressed. The door panels are pretty cool as well. It's all around a BAD ASS build. You should be very proud of yourself. 👍

What kit did you buy for the manual swap? I've been looking at doing the same thing for a great while for my sl500
I bought an adapter plate from xf motorsports to connect a cd009 to that engine, but the guy made it 2 millimeters off so it doesn’t really align. It ended up blowing a the trans. I would suggest using a bmw trans and custom adapter plate already made for it. There a guy swapping his sl500 rn with a bmw trans on RUclips

how did you lose your wheels?
I tried using spacers from Autozone, but the bolts weren’t long enough, so they unscrewed themselves thus my wheel flying off the car haha
