I don’t exactly agree with this logic. I refuse to buy ANY Ubisoft game due to their track record. If we just keep buying their games to “try them” then they’ve already won their 70+ dollars from us. I only buy things like this on a deep sale a year or two after it’s been released
@guywhosnamestartswithz2520 to be fair every game has bugs, but the problem is with how crazy arrogant ubisoft has been. "I spent 20 mil to polish this game!" "Okay...but it doesnt make the game MUCH better." Does elden ring ever said something like ubi did? No. Elden ring doesnt guilt trip you by stating how much they spent to fix the bug, they be like "okay so theres a bug we fixed in this new patch and u dont need to know how much we spent on it!" Meanwhile ubi has to FLAUNT how much they spent to fix bugs.
@Swedishmafia101MemeCorporation its not, but we havent seen the full game in that livestream, which means a game breaking bug COULD or DIDNT exist. The thing is they just had to flaunt how much they spent to fix these bugs. I dont think people care about how much you spent on fixing the things, I mean I never flaunt to my customers like "do you know how much I spent to fix your dress's zipper? 50usd!", all they rly care to hear is "hey i fixed your zipper, it should be usable now, please try it on!"
I don't think people's complaints are about this looking like a rip off, their complaints and concerns seem pretty valid when you watch some of the gameplay.
All these companies care about is sales numbers so by "giving it a chance" you have told these companies you aprove of and like these games. It dosnt matter to them if you come back after the fact and trash them. They already got your money and know you will buy agian if they can make the next one look pretty.
not everybody got the money to "try" every game and then decide if it's bad or not, when you have limited money , you wanna play the best games only , that's why reviews exists , and why we listen to other people opinions
yeah thats basically what he was saying hes not holding you hostage to buy it hes just saying to give it a chance and wait to see what VALID reviewers think
There comes a gray line in between when you take on people’s opinions and fight for them when you yourself don’t fully know thats a sheepish mindset. People have different opinions for example everyone hated on Dying Light 2 but i never listened to those opinions when i bought it and played it and guess what. I enjoyed the game! If i read the reviews and judged it before playing then my game experience wouldve been watered down because i started with the mindset of it being bad already.

It's his money to do with as he sees fits, and at least, he has the brains to try something and think for himself. If $70 is too much for you wait for sale. But jumping to attack a game you have not played is pathetic. Most gamers can't think for themselves and require others to tell them what to like or play.
Ubisoft kinda killed my love for them after their greedy prices, but I’m super excited for Ghost of Yotei! Will probably give AC: Shadows a chance though
You mean the same pricing as almost every single major publisher? I have no idea why people always single out Ubisoft while ignoring Activision, EA, Capcom, and more for doing the same thing. When I see people crying over this, I ask why how much, and they always point to the Deluxe version while ignoring the standard version
Gotta be honest even if it's good I don't think ubisoft deserve any more chances. All because 1 out of 5 eggs is good doesn't mean I want another cycle of bad eggs because 1 is good. Lessons haven't been learned.
The problem with this approach is that it means nothing will change, if a game comes out, and you pay for it, and THEN trash it... Big woop, they already got your money, which is all they care about. The only way to bring change is to vote with your wallet.

I hate to break it to ya, hun, but we are talking about the modern AAA gaming industry. A majority of people in the USA alone cannot afford to shell out $70 plus tax just to "give it a chance". If modern AAA game developers would like their games to be given a real chance on release at such a hefty price tag, they need to be making something mind-blowing that really captures the audience's attention. No matter how you wanna slice it, this game looks exactly like 50 0ther games I've played in the last 10 years. I'll pass until the price drops to $20-$30, and that's if it gets glowing praise across the board.

If ubisoft had only presented this as a historical fiction and not as real history it wouldnt have recieved as much as hate , ghost of tsushima isnt historically accurate but it was presented as respect to japanese culture
genuine question, what about it is historically inaccurate? a lot of people say yasuke wasn't a samurai but that's been proven false many times at this point.
They also used the one Tori Gate that was destroyed in WW2 and advertised with it. Adding that the info used stating he was a real samurai was approved by a guy who used his own story as fact.
still they would obviously be giving up massive sales just to push a narrative instead of giving fans what they know we want which is a huge deal breaker for most.
When did anyone say this wasn't a historical fiction Just because they stated they would use a character that existed irl as a main character doesn't mean that the game would be historically accurate
Still in the belief that the story of LOU2 was consistent, followed logic of the world and wholly unique for being a game that delivered a world shattering twist in act 1. Brave as hell. Can’t stand woke baiting in the industry but for me LOU2 was genius.
My problem with the game are bigger than it just being woke. Bad representation of Japanese culture, mixed things from different time periods, stolen property, janky combat, and knowing Quebec the map will probably be as empty as valhalla and odyssey
Dude they can't even tell apart Chinese to Japanese language or culture nor architecture & they didn't even get the environment nor seasons right . Then there's the whole there so ignorant with the broken Tori gate & putting the launch anniversary date on the Gass terrier attack in Japan & they straight up just keep stealing art they simply don't own
The game is doing very well in pre-order sales in Japan, actually. Actual Japanese people don't care about this America-centric "culture war" nonsense.

I respect your opinion on the matter, and I would have shared it until recently. But unfortunately, I can't afford to drop $70 on giving Ubisoft a chance after only recently losing my job. Ubisoft has burned all avenues of trust in their quality and integrity. I've given all of the AC games decent plays and found most of the recent ones lacking. I long for the days of Assassin's Creed 2 again, but we'll probably never get them with Ubisoft sinking faster than the Titanic from internal affairs.
Ubisoft plus is cheap and has older and newer selections with the dlcs I think 17.99 if you wanna play all their games and 7.99 for only their older titles

Id be with you 100% BUT in this case it's Ubisoft, not gonna buy their games anymore, not after so many years with greedy paywalls microtransactions and not goin to defend them anymore after THEY blamed the Playerbase for their own faults. Not giving any more passes or opportunities to Ubisoft.
As far as anyone's aware that shouldn't be a problem. Ubisoft basically saw what happened with Star wars outlaws and realized they were going to have to do a 180 with the release of this game. So if it succeeds, it's a pretty clear signal to them that even a company who has horrible relations with the internet at large at this point can still release a successful game as long as they do It in a consumer-friendly way and of course the game has to be good but stranger things have happened. Shadows does actually have some neat looking stuff and I'm definitely curious
@fiddlerjack did you omit the declarations and insults to Japanese culture done by Ubisoft with AC Shadows? Also the declarations that came with Outlaws and the negative points on AC Shadows like blaming all Playerbase for their high expectations or negativity towards Outlaws greedy packs that went beyond $110 or the point when they hired Bots for countering the massive negative comments on AC Shadows trailer videos? There's much to say Ubisoft is not of trust, blaming playerbase for their flops and the expectation to plague games like Valhalla (Nov 10 2020, not that long ago) with Paywall microtransactions. Hell, in 2021 it was voted the most hated video game company by 23 countries...and there's good reason for it. So again, they are at the border right now and barely to none actually have hope to this company, they flopped an Star Wars open world game which was really mediocre, Skulls and Bones flopped too, AC Shadows, after Ubisoft declarations on multiple issues made ppl bag down AC Shadows and common the amount for the game is ridiculous with ALREADY Paywall stuff for 89.99

Does elden ring ever said something like ubi did? No. Elden ring doesnt guilt trip you by stating how much they spent to fix the bug, they be like "okay so theres a bug we fixed in this new patch and u dont need to know how much we spent on it!"
Meanwhile ubi has to FLAUNT how much they spent to fix bugs.
An animation not playing properly on a staircase is hardly a massive bug.
@Swedishmafia101MemeCorporation its not, but we havent seen the full game in that livestream, which means a game breaking bug COULD or DIDNT exist.

@makthemaniac1 that's what these people don't understand

I can only agree with you. You need to play a game of you want to trash on it. Ensure you form your own opinion and don't follow others but steam reviews are helpful I'd rather use those than any other if their available if not then I panic
"give every game a chance" but i aint giving ubisoft any chances💀
Not when you've already given them 400 chances and they blew every single one
Gotta be honest, a lot of the people criticizing this game say some hella racist crap about it. And I'm not just throwing that word around, you can literally go look at some of the fucked up racist crap people say about Yasuke. The mere existence of that character is making people show their true colors.
people just want an excuse to dunk on ubisoft everytime they even do so much as breathe
@@verygoofyalligatorwithshades while they probably some racist out there, most of the “anti-woke” crowd aren’t the one saying it. 99% of the hate is because it Ubisoft, and after skull and bones and outlaw I don’t blame them. Ubisoft need this to be good
BRO GOT PAID!
Last marketing by ubisoft.
Thai guys channel is the definition of “I respect both opinions”
Last week you were telling Ubisoft to "just put Shadow's in the bag bro". How can you hate a game you've never played? The hate train is real and people hate Shadow's because it's socially acceptable. If there was no controversy surrounding the protagonist, then NOBODY would be talking bad about it. Some people just let the internet do their thinking for them.
everyone has a price apparently lol
@DankDudeee no, nobody has a price. They're just simple minded.
whippity whapitty your opinion is wacky
