Both of these were done on the same day! :D I thought i'd do them both since I finished the original I may as well do the other. V2 is not hard really, after you get past the first half, it becomes a breeze, I went from 59 - 100% on that level. The Original is so buggy, I didn't even mean to do that at the end. xD Both are REALLY fun to play!

I think what makes the original so good is that the music syncs incredibly well, and the gameplay is so organic and flows super well, better than 90% of levels I’ve ever played before. v2 definitely goes to make the music sync well, but I think the song is too fast to make the gameplay flow that well

Hilarious. Dear Nostalgists was supposed to be a level that was appealing to people who liked older versions of GD, but the v2 basically kept the same shit look which doesn't appeal to most people who like effects, but then also added all the reasons why those nostalgists hate the new version, effectively making the whole level useless and appealing to nobody.

The point of the older versions of the levels back then in 1.0.They didn't have arrows or moving objects at all back then, not even decorations (a little bit). So yea completely out of the point. Hope i helped

That bug always happens too me. So I always need 2 tries to solve this part. 1st try: Bug. 2nd try: works, 3rd tr after failure: Bug annoying as hell.

What i do is hold to hit the green orb as soon as possible and jump befor the blue pads as a cube lol. Not sure if it helps but it certainly is more reliable for me.
I better tactic is to jump before you hit the blue pads.

Meh that v2 isnt any good, and the gameplay isnt any close to awesome level of original dear nostalgists ;-;
The gameplay in Dear Nostalgists is fucking terrible. RiverCiver made a bug compilation and it was nearly 2 minutes long. There was clearly no effort put into decoration, but it seems as though the gameplay was made in only a few minutes... It's annoying to play, since the bugs are nonstop (especially the drop bug that's so common it's infamous) and most deaths are bugs. Also 93% is nearly impassable with a refresh rate higher than 60Hz, making you have to hit the orb before that part in a different way otherwise you hit a spike at the auto part. The level's so bad I've gotten 88% once and 89% twice and I never want to touch it again.

2) I enjoyed dear nostalgists most of all 93 demons ive beaten and the deco is missing since it was made for a creator contest with rules saying that you can only use 1.0 static blocks but any triggers, effects etc. This level indeed has many bugs but if your good enough to pass the level you enjoy it. the drop bug indeed it super irritating but besides that the bugs are rare and players can go for them on purpose and avoid it with EASE.
I've beaten this level. I went back a couple days after commenting and completed it. The drop bug never affected me. But I had to switch back to 60Hz purely for this level because of 93%. Personally the level annoyed me quite a bit as most of the parts are underwhelming or boring. It was easy, even on 60Hz, since the difference between my regular refresh rate and 60 isn't noticeable, but I still didn't enjoy it because of the pain it caused when I first tried to beat it. I wasn't even very happy when I completed it, just relieved I never had to play it again. Sort of like when I beat Electrodynamix back in August. Also, about this:

k, k i get it. there is a lot of hate on this level but tbh its much less boring than some demons. There are the bugs, but after completing some more buggy demons (eg Paracosm Circles) you strt ignoring that

If it had no moving objects, green jump rings or robot, then I MIGHT consider this a nostalgists' level. I personally have made multiple levels more "nostalgic" than this following the 2.0 update. I mean, I still used features that came after 1.4, but still, beats this.

I have a fix for the glitch that he showed at the beginning of the level. Just jump as soon as you leave the ball and go into the cube. You’ll skip a few blue jump pads but you will NEVER experience that glitch again.

Not really the drops are easy because you don’t have to tap that much but all the bugs in that level make it medium.

I've always loved this level, but never had the patience to beat it.
There are 2 levels
Dear Nostalgists v1 has a lot of chill parts and the fast parts are kinda straight forward. You might think shoudn't this be rated Insane or even Harder. Since the level is XL, it is a demon, but an EASY demon.

v2 doesn't have the same "feel" as the original, mostly due to the background change. It also doesn't use the same song as the original, which is what you HAVE TO DRIVE for it to be a v2.
v2 isn't a v2, it's an unofficial sequel.

I know i might get alot of mean replies but v1 didnt age well at all. WAAAAY to many bugs make the level barely playable. Example: when you are at the auto part right before the drop, if you hit the green orb before it too early or too late, you will not hit the yellow jump pads. Which happened to me every time i got to that part so i just quit playing it.
The dual part is kinda easy if u only focus on the cube
