Disagree with your conclusions. The law closes us under sin, because we cannot keep it by our flesh, which means our own efforts. We cannot be perfected, or given life by the law, because the law is meant as a way to show us how sinful we are, until faith in Christ comes. Right now, we have reached the destination, faith in Christ and perfection, not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, and the fruit of the Spirit, is our obedience to Christ, by faith, through the Spirit of God. Of course people were always justified by faith, rectroactively, by looking to Christ, as Moses did. But that does not mean you were not under the law.
From my understanding there is no evidence of a bigger and narrower sense of the law. There was a promise BY FAITH and a law added after, which would be taken away once Jesus came. By quoting Genesis, one cannot say that Paul meant to teach a broader sense of the law. There is no evidence of this.

@@P.H.888 I think I follow you. But yeah, one can take a look at Israel and get the same understanding. Most think Israel are according to the flesh, and that these are God’s people. The fact is, Israel has ALWAYS been those through FAITH.
So there is no broader Israel and a narrower Israel. Only TRUE ISRAEL according to FAITH.
Therefore, the law was NEVER about working for salvstion because Hebrews is clear, it was imperfect. It was always about FAITH in the True Perfect, the Lord and Christ, Jesus of Nazareth.
