This video is just making light of some stuff that I genuinely suffer from & the crazy places my mind wanders to, as it tries to think of out of the box ways to solve it! I do suffer from blue hands & nails, as well as hip & sacroiliac joint problems, but none of the things I suggested in this video were serious & are not going ahead. They were just some silly solutions I thought of for some of my symptoms (I genuinely did discuss the blackout tattoos with my friend though- just as a joke & she told me that it’s a real thing, but typically in black, not navy), but the tattoos, medical butt lift and channel name are all just jokes :)
I actually have a whole host of silly solutions like this that my brain randomly comes up with whenever I’m struggling with various symptoms, part of it is humour & I think part of it is just the human brain grappling at straws desperately trying to think of something to stop whatever symptom it is. This was a play on that & to show that there is a funny side to chronic illness, no matter how weird or dark. & no matter how dark things get, we can keep looking for sunshine,

Speaking of news on the 1st of April, I read a study that says if you stuff marshmallows in your cheeks like a chipmunk, it tricks your brain and you no longer get dizzy when standing up too fast. The study consisted of real chipmunks as the control 🤭

Have you tried an SI belt? I have a horrible time with my SI joints constantly being subluxed and moving which is very painful.
I say a video by a physical therapist talking about SI joint disfunction and he recommended a specific SI belt which I found & bought from Amazon. (I will get my belt in a few hours & edit this with the name of belt.)
It has velcro so you can adjust how tight to put it on and then there are 2 elastic bands about 2” wide with velcro that you then stretch and reattach to the main belt to make it even tighter to give more support & stability to the pelvis.
It does a great job helping my pelvis to feel more stable & greatly reduces the SI joint movement. I even wear it in bed sometimes.
I also had lumbar radio frequency ablation on the nerves at 3 levels of my lumbar spine on both the right snd left. Which it doesn’t change the SI joint movement, it has greatly reduced the amount of pain I deal with every day.
I have one but I haven’t used it yet! Glad you’re finding it helpful ☺️

@@GeorginasJourney Interestingly, my channel name used to be '"Loosing" My Favorite Game' so that it was hard to find. I changed it to the correct spelling about 4 years ago after asking a friend if my videos were cool. Everyone started telling me it was spelled incorrectly at first and I told them it was deliberate. 🤫

LOVE IT!! Is it OK if I also start calling you Jeorgina? I think it'll really spread the message of the channel. I'm not so sure the blackout tattoos are a good idea as you pass out in the heat and you don't want your hands to keep passing out! May I suggest something (obvs discuss with ur dr) could you get your fingernails tattooed pink instead? I think it would also work more often than the warm hands thing too 😂😂😂

It must get really hot 😅 I know people with darker skin tones are more protected against sunburn and skin cancer and stuff, but I do wonder if darker skin tones absorb more sunlight too and make them more hot in the summer. My head gets incredibly hot with my hair as my hair is almost black, it’s really dark brown

I really like this April Fools video 😂 although I was a bit confused at the beginning but than I read the description. The thing with Jeorginas Gourney is hilarious 😂 and BBL for cushion is genius! Although I personally don't need it because my ass is thick. Maybe I can give some of my "cushion material" to you 😂
And fun fact: black tattoos actually get a bit warm and they also protect the skin kind of like a sun screen! No joke!

The black tattooing is interesting. However, wouldn't it not work as well during the winter when there's less sunlight, or whenever you're not in direct sunlight? My Raynaud's used to get super bad when they were trying me on beta blockers for POTS, but my blue fingernails and cold hands are better after changing medications.
It certainly wouldn’t be the best option! I’m now off to google the beta block/raynauds link, thank you! My actual hands haven’t got any worse (I’ve had raynauds since I was a child) but the crazy blue nails I have 3/4 of the time is really quite disconcerting

With the butt lift, do you know what kind of material the padding will be? I know it's common for people with MCAS to have issues with implants, so it might be worth seeing if you can use a hypoallergenic material. Wishing you the best!
I woke up, looked at the title of this video and panicked! I worry about all of the chronically ill people I follow on RUclips, and was worried something happened. I believed everything you said. I feel like some people actually come up with crazy solutions to their chronic symptoms I’m slow to catch on with things.🤷♀️ Sorry to ask I’m just stupid (bad brain fog)but are you or are you not changing you channel name? The irony of "not sure why you'd assume your viewers are thick" and you not realising from the description and all the other comments and the date and the obvious nature of the video that this is an April Fools video 😂😂 she kinda assumed her viewers were smart enough to figure that one out - coz she's not at all patronising ❤❤❤
Something about this comment felt off to me at the time & I’ve just realised what it is. This video was just a joke, but if someone doesn’t know how to pronounce something, that doesn’t make them thick. So even if I were to genuinely tell someone how to pronounce something, I would not be assuming they were thick, as not knowing how to pronounce a word does not make someone ‘thick.’ Avid readers, for example, often don’t know how to pronounce words as they’ve only ever seen them written down. & it can be the same for non native speakers also. So yeah, not knowing how to pronounce something doesn’t make a person thick 😊
