I wished I had watched your videos for my paper 2. I saw your organic chemistry video a few months earlier and it taught me so much about organic but I forgot your channel name. Today I found it again so I’ll be reviewing for paper 6 using your videos
Organic chemistry notes please!!
Hi, thank you for your videos! They are really helpful ☺️ but are you able to make a video on qualitative analysis (salts)? It will really help:D
Thank you!
If i said precipitate are insoluble salts, is the definition correct?
That is correct :)
It helped me a lot!! Thankful to your explanation!👌
I have a question, are these topics that you are teaching only core topics, or are they inclusive of the Extended syllabus?

Hey, thanks so much for these videos.
Can I know if you’re going to upload “Salts” too? Cause that’s what I’m struggling with
Yes, please!
Please do!!!
Absolutely do!
so im trying to wrap my head around this. please correct me if i am wrong
acids are substances that contain replaceable hydrogen ions and this is the reason why acids show their acidic properpties when water is present because they are loosing... ugh i got stuck
Acids have H+ ions that they can “release” or specifically donate. Acids in solution will dissociate to release the H+ ions. For example, HCl (aq) -> H+ and Cl-. The H+ ions are what gives an acid its acidic properties.
To go deeper, acids are proton / hydrogen ion DONORS. So the H+ that HCl releases must get donated somehow. In fact, thats exactly what happens. It gets donated to water.
H2O + H+ -> H3O+
So the acid donates its H+ ion to water molecules which accept it to become H3O+ ions. So in these circumstances, the water essential acts as a base because it ACCEPTS the proton / H+
Cambridge in 5 minutes thank you that is very helpful
Cambridge in 5 minutes thanks a lot! I was also really confused 🤷🏻♀️

I would have been doomed if I didn't find you, it literally took 1 month to explain this and no one understood it from our teacher

regarding 4:43, how can copper displace hydrogen despite being lower in the reactivity series?
An answer would be appreciated :)
i have the same question can someone please answer
Its not a displacement reaction here it's an neutralization reaction.
Neutralization is kindda a displacement reaction but neutralization is counted as a double displacement reaction. I might be confusing you, you can search up difference between displacement and double displacement reaction you'll get it
where are the solubilty rules?
Chemistry is my first paper 😭😭and I'm taking the subject at AS
