aging will deteriorate vocal chords especially for one having nodules. the voice will go deeper too. now it is all about preserving her voice by dodging and stuff. having staccatos style instead of flowing full notes.
She is a legend, an icon and i love her forever and ever, but her vocal issues are fading her voice away. Still have the air and wistle, but Chest voice is totally gone.
She’s had this comfortable range live since 1999. More than 2/3 of her career, and her belting here is healthier here than 20 years ago. The only thing she really lost is some range and being able to sing legatto like before, but if you can learn to appreciate how her voice has changed, you’ll see this is not a bad performance by any means. It’s only bad in comparison to her prime era vocals.
Big deal she went one step lower than the original the important thing is was it a great performance not a fiasco and 100%Live with backup singers!!What female Artist minus Aretha Franklin and not even her at time has managed to keep her voice identical in her 50’s like when she was 27 when Butterfly came out

Singing isn’t even about hitting the highest notes all the time, though Mariah does have amazing highs
