𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗔𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗨𝗠 ➜ • Nano Reef Aquarium
Life is about evolving, adapting, changing, what worked in the past isn't guaranteed to work in the future.
Territories are made, comportments are changed, habits are building. After few weeks I was able to finally record certain behavior happening in my nano reef tank.
I could see something suspect on my corner of my eyes, it was happening in a fraction of a second at times but after being patient, I was able to capture the behavior of my yellow goby and brown hermit crab.

A world way from the nonsense of influencers showcasing gear! Great job on the video! The insight into the small world interactions that happen on a reef! Bravo!
Butter is much better than micromussa. Bravo :D
🤫
Whoa!!! Did not see that coming. I thought Butter was going to get removed.
😏🍣
I really enjoyed the story telling for this video and the editing. Almost felt like a suspense movie. Thank you
Great video! Had the same issue with a yellow clown beating up my micromussa but I said goodbye to the yellow clown instead!😂✌
Totally understand your decision, Totally. 😏
Such a great series. Thank you!
10000/10 video ! Bravo!
Another Great one. Loved it.
Finally the video of the week 😍.
"Please wait, your video is in process for HD"
Glad I re upload the video...
This tank looks good! Looks old school I like it!
Oh butter is being a little devil...
🚽🍣😈
Amazing video as always.. waiting for the next episode :)
I'm going to skip a week for the next one, working on ******** (no spoiler)
@@AquaSplendor ehem2 new project coming soon..can't wait!
Creative video, 👍 The horror of it all .. 😳. I knew to avoid damsels in my reef in general, but, I saw this unique looking damsel, purple gray with dots all over… I bought him and put him in my frag tank as didn’t even think a damsel would bother SPS sticks. Holy Mother of God! 😳. Next morning, it had left bite marks on every stick in the tank! Premium Sticks. 😢 Voracious killer damsel went after Walt Disney, Home Wrecker, Pink Floyd, etc. Once I brought blood pressure back down, he made it to fish only tank. Gave away with caution. We never know what waits inside the abyss.
Oohh damsel, I think I have one died a month ago, ... secretly I'm relief but don't tell anyone that!
You know what they says, beauty has a price 😋
Butter wins again 👏🏻🤪🤣
I thought about 🍣
Same exact type of hermit crab even looks just like him did the same but killing my sps
Which type of SPS was he nipping on?
@@AquaSplendor two of the largest he I would find him on the branch or base first I thought it was a snail that fell but when I saw it that hermit crab with dark red 🦞 claws I knew he killed my snail too. All my blue are still half his size every day same spot.
@@moereefer How often do you feed? Would you consider yourself has a heavy feeder or light?
@@AquaSplendor light for sure
@@moereefer I found that when I feed less they become more aggressive and once they start to behave in a certain way they often stick to that habit. (From personal experience)
Yep thats why i dont ever recommend hermits they walk and eat all over corals
Each hermit had their own personalities. My blue leg hermit massacred all my turbo's , leaving a graveyard of snail shell, and it's not even changing any of those shell. Just killing for fun.. lol
Bloody hell, call 911!
yep, had a hermit, not a blue legged, but still. Straight up crawled around the tank and murdered every snail he could get his hands on. only lasted about 2 weeks until he was... ummm...put back in the big tank in the sky!
Heliopora -> blue ridge coral. Looks like a hard coral but it’s not. Depending on where you locate it with flow and light will create different types of structures.
Top 👍
Do you feed your corals? They look incredible, thanks :)
Yes, but mostly one: Tubastraea because it's necessary, the others would be the gonio time to time. I feed anything, I try to vary the food in general. But keep in mind the majority of coral are photosynthetic
I prefer hearing your narration instead of the subtitles. Great job though!
Don't worry, it's going to change ;)
good ,,mantap...
Is that a G5 Pro on this tank? The shimmer looks better than i expected from a G5.
Yes, shimmer varies depending on the flow at surface and height.
It's a fine balance in my case with this nano
You’ve got alot of dino action going on, that could have something to do with losing snails and corals etc :)
Losing that snail probably affected the tank indeed, I never saw its body or anything and since the aquarium is small it doesn't help
One question
Would you sell corals to Germany ?
One answer
No
It would cost way too much to send any coral, a coral that I sell 10$ would cost 100$ and probably won't make the trip. In canada, many store don't even ship full country wide.
@@AquaSplendor OK thanks for your fast answer
What Coral so you prefer for an clownfish?
@@eastriver9870 Coral? None honestly, but obviously anemone symbiosis are really cool to have with clown!
@@AquaSplendor OK thanks man
I have had nothing but heartache with yellow gobies. He could be changing colors as to come into his "sexualization", or you may be losing him😕😩
That specimen is entertaining to say the least 🐡
Can you let me know your testing regime?
Testing regime?
@@AquaSplendor I meant beside testing alk, cal and mag … is there anything you test beside the big three? Also how do you control phosphate and nitrate ?
@@awalliskandar3289 Alk is the main one,
Alk/Cal/Mag are not the big three, but they are if you have a lot of SPS coral. Otherwise mag and cal doesn't matter.
Alk and phosphate are the one I test on a regular basis (weekly?), reduce nitrate and phosphate can be done via bacteria, if you add a source of energy like carbon they multiply than you do water change later. Phosphate is main issue because I feed a lot and it varies a lot. Mainly GFO and water change.
Basically. water change. weekly 40%, make sure to watch the playlist it's all there! I might do a specific video about this one day though...
@@AquaSplendor thanks for the advice … I been watching your video for a month and I always wonder what testing being done and how frequent the testing is being done to maintains the tank. Thanks to the reply now I know. I didn’t thought phosphate could be the main issue that has tremendous affect on corals. Thanks and couldn’t wait for the next video.
@@awalliskandar3289 *Phosphate have an impact on coral but its... (in the bad case) indirectly, like algae. Coral need phosphate, just need to find the right balance, different animals have different needs.
