I had no idea that King Friday and Queen Sara Saturday were not married from day one. This is extraordinary! And it's so lovely! I'm so glad I got to see this video. This is truly the greatest wedding to ever take place on children's television. I feel that the one shot from inside the castle looking out was a great idea. It was something really special to make this scene all that much more personal for the Queen Bride and King Groom. And since we never see that again, it makes the moment unique to them. I also think the reason that Daniel Tiger wasn't present was because of two things: he simply wasn't in the script (though his clock does appear in the episode) and Fred Rogers was Daniel Tiger. Fred played both Daniel Tiger and King Friday exclusively. Since Fred was clearly playing King Friday for the wedding, he simply couldn't be in two places at once so he couldn't play Daniel Tiger. It could be asked why didn't someone else just pose as Daniel Tiger? The answer is simply that all the cast and crew respected that Fred was Daniel and Daniel was Fred, so out of respect it simply wouldn't have felt right to assume the role of such a special character close to Fred. Only Fred could truly be Daniel. And only Fred could truly be King Friday the 13th.
I find it odd that none of Friday's and Sara's relatives are there for the biggest day of their lives! In one ep Lady Aberlin says that Friday has a younger brother and her mother is Friday's younger sister, and neither one are there! Robert Troll is the best man and not his own brother?! And Sara's father didn't give her away?
Aw! I never knew the king and queen weren't married from the beginning! great video!
I was born on the four year anniversary of Mr. Rogers'neighborhood
Lady Elaine was probably filming the wedding from her tv station at the museum.

I guess I always assumed these two were married before the show started
Sara Saturday is named for and modeled after Mister R.’s own lovely bride Sara Joanne Byrd Rogers (Spoiler Alert: Fred and Joanne hit the Golden!)
