okay, but like, this JD is on point. When she falls over and JD literally drags her back over to him perfectly represents the relationship between the two. And he's similar to Slater's JD back in 1989. It's just perfect.
shit man.. that fall wasn't planned but oh my god the way he played off of that by holding onto her and controlling her and she looked so genuinely afraid of him just.. *shit*
JD of the century just for saving Veronica from falling. Like it was almost as if it was planned. It kind of reinforced his version of JD as being more controlling
Just that fucking save by JD when she slipped on the gun! It just makes me so happy because it makes JD just look so controlling and she just looked so terrified of him. He really saved her ass there. Even though it was a mistake, it should be implemented for real.
the way he bumps her chin at 2:36 - man the guy playing JD is ON POINT all of the nuances and little things he does to make the character really kill it
Okay, let's take a moment and appreciate how artistic that save was. JD totally kept her ass from hitting the ground, and I love him for it. It made the scene so much more intense,
I found this part interesting not only because she slipped on a gun and he saved her ass, but because he still showed he was crying by making sure she made eye contact with him no matter where she looked. Like putting his head down, holding her hair, holding her chin. I think it made him seem more controlling
i can't even tell either!!...if it was then that acting is on point and if it wasn't then...still that acting was on point because it added to the scene with the way her grabbed her
I agree, the body language was great. It really gets his personality across at different points, like how you can see him urging her along on the call, and how he pulls her to him and pulls her hair at the end when she's not saying it back until she does.
cerys I never thought it would be possible to channel his portrayal of the character and make it make sense with the way they wrote him in the musical, but he does it really well
I love there interactions, like in most plays it just sounds like they are reading scripts, but in this one it sounds real, and they are actually interacting.
Alright that's the BEST JD I've ever seen. He is so perfect. He seems strong, just as jd has to be. The ending was so amazing, especially when he caught Veronica.
This JD is amazing and so is the Veronica they bottle made that fall look like it was meant to happen. This JD is so freaky as well they way he held her head it gave me chills amazinggggg
I always find myself coming back to this performance of Our Love is God. There are others out there with higher budget, but that doesn't matter, because this pairing is by far my favorite and honestly outclasses all of the others. Not only is their chemistry amazing (they seem like good friends just solely from the cute moment of her mimicking that stance), but they flow extremely well off of each other. The JD save everyone talks about in the comments is honestly what I want to call such a professional move. I'm not a musical producer, or director, or any of that, but I don't think that could have been done any better. Not only did she play it well in the heat of the moment as a frantic "I need to get away", but looking through the comments and watching, people are right, he appears more controlling, but also accurately portraying of the original JD along with his own style. Seriously wish this had more recognition. Hidden gems like this deserve all of the praise.
:) This was a really lovely comment to stumble on. Chet (JD) is one of my very closest friends. It was such a gift to work together on this. Thank you for watching!
Every time Kurt and Ram are in a scene, I think they're really good but they're not great and delivering their lines. They have the characters down, but they're too fast and delivering the punchline. Everyone in this cast is so talented!!
I really like this Ram and Kurt. I like them more than the originals. Although that may be because the only version of the original I can find is so blurry that I can barely see the original Ram and Kurt emote. But I'm not sure.
I love this, the improve was amazing and it all fit. I loved how JD grabbed her chin, grabbed her arm, and grabbed her hair because it just shows how controlling he was and how he forced her to repeat the “Our love is god.” I really loved this it was amazing and you all sound so good! ❤️✨
I KNWOWOOWOWOW it’s so good & JD was grabbing Veronica’s hair in seventeen, too, and yanking her to him and pushing her around 👌🏼 SUCH A CONTROLLING JD UGH I LOVE IT
I’ll always remember this song in the production I saw. The guys who played the jocks were so likable as big dumb oafs and when they were murdered it was legitimately shocking.
Comment #10,123,232,042,232,234,585,385,seven about how good JD is, but holy gosh. He definitely gets that unstable dangerous vibe in much more than the others I've seen. It may be stylistic to this production, but it's perfect.
ok wow I wasn't sold on this JD initially just because I feel like he doesn't sing with many dynamics everythings just kinda loud but holy shit when he caught her, and the face grab, and the hair pull he is so much more like slater's original JD than literally anybody else I've ever seen
Milasia True, but that’s kinda built into his character. I do wonder what he’d be like without that though. I mean what is his personality besides that?

Yeah
the way he bumps her chin at 2:36 - man the guy playing JD is ON POINT all of the nuances and little things he does to make the character really kill it
Lady-in-the-Moon Was that a pun?
Okay, let's take a moment and appreciate how artistic that save was. JD totally kept her ass from hitting the ground, and I love him for it. It made the scene so much more intense,
Alexis Waters when was that save?
right after she said "wtf have u done"
+Lotash_Meow 5:26
Was it intentional or an accident?
OMG YES! ROUND OF APPLAUSE!! That was so amazing, he made it look so intentional. Props to him.
it must be really weird to just stand their in an almost infinite fist bump
lol
*INFINITE BROS*
like in other ones,a good exapmle is fight for me lmao
I really liked this version of the musical. It’s my favorite 😂
Bros for every
This JD and Veronica have such good chemistry it makes the whole thing so much more believable
Emma Smith Yes, that’s why I love this production so much, not the mention the great acting from both of them
I found this part interesting not only because she slipped on a gun and he saved her ass, but because he still showed he was crying by making sure she made eye contact with him no matter where she looked. Like putting his head down, holding her hair, holding her chin. I think it made him seem more controlling
i agree 100% ahhh i felt all the emotions hit me. it was beautifully done
Was the slip intentional or an accident?
i can't even tell either!!...if it was then that acting is on point and if it wasn't then...still that acting was on point because it added to the scene with the way her grabbed her
Hi guys- the slip was NOT intentional (woops...), but him grabbing my arm as I ran by WAS! He also just really saved my ass, didn't he?
ahhhh that's so interesting to hear haha thanks for replying! you did great btw :)
Veronica copying JD and both of them trying to hide their laughter at 2:14 omgggg
Didn't even notice that till now omg that was so cute
Grace Gudas awe!
hands down one of the best JDs I have ever seen imo.
I agree, the body language was great. It really gets his personality across at different points, like how you can see him urging her along on the call, and how he pulls her to him and pulls her hair at the end when she's not saying it back until she does.
Alec Soriano yeah he does both caring boyfriend and completely sociopathic murderer fantastically and thats hard to do
Alec Soriano this could not be more true
Alec Soriano ikr
At 5:43 it sounded like JD has a major voice crack before I realized that was part of the orchestra
Omg I laughed so hard thank you for pointing that out
Same hahahaha
🤗
HE WAS SO READY TO CATCH HER HOLY SHIT
NOW THATS IMPROV
he stayed in character even after the slip.
This JD is absolutely incredible. He is more “Christian Slater” than the other ones I’ve seen. More controlling and manipulative, I love it
cerys I never thought it would be possible to channel his portrayal of the character and make it make sense with the way they wrote him in the musical, but he does it really well
Is...is no one gonna mention Kurt and ram grabbing each others asses at 3:26??
LMFAO
It’s beautiful :,)
I love there interactions, like in most plays it just sounds like they are reading scripts, but in this one it sounds real, and they are actually interacting.
CokaIsIt yesss
The acting is really good here
THAT TRIP SAVE THOUGH! I APPLAUD YOU
They make an amazingly convincing pair
This jd was really good omg
Am I the only who's going to talk about how Veronica tries to copy J.D at 2:13 but they both end up laughing?
Mangoxy TheSkeleFox just saw it now 😂😂😂
Naw I just saw it, thanks for pointing it out
That save was incredible. Amazing!!
Alright that's the BEST JD I've ever seen. He is so perfect. He seems strong, just as jd has to be. The ending was so amazing, especially when he caught Veronica.
Dp Sm So True, yes. And they’re both really good actors which makes it even better
This JD is amazing and so is the Veronica they bottle made that fall look like it was meant to happen. This JD is so freaky as well they way he held her head it gave me chills amazinggggg

That awkward moment when you have to do a chase around stage in underwear
Ognim Alf is Flamingo backwards xDI just received that!
I love how when she trips on the gun JD just catches her like it was planned. That’s perfect
JD's actor was amazing, omg
Even if she didn’t fall he was supposed to grab her arm as she was running away That’s why he was really to catch her
Lol jd’s deep voice in this one 😂😂
Veronica: “are you okay?”
Jd: **Super really deep voice*
Yea
Dead Account Surprised me too
Are we not gonna mention 3:26?.?.??
A little late, but here it goes...
HE POINTS HIS PISTOL AT THE SKY!
*G a Y*
Navi Rubio
wAit-
probably my favorite heathers cast
CozyLemonade Yeah, I agree
i just noticed that at 5:42 jd starts to get more controlling. i love his character development!
When JD clicks his figers from one to two is so CLEVER AWH

THAT SAVE DOE.
I’ll always remember this song in the production I saw. The guys who played the jocks were so likable as big dumb oafs and when they were murdered it was legitimately shocking.
I am absolutely in love with this JD holy shit
The dialogue seemed a little rushed but all the little details mentioned already in the comments really made this!!!
I also can’t stop rewatching this, especially that fREAKING CATCH I can’t tell if it was even planned or not it was so good!!
That save made me love this jd to a whole new level
omg this is really good
also was slipping on the gun intentional because she played it off really well lol
cheers to ram and kurt for staning there for so long
Well... 5:27 Was it intentional or an accident? I don't know! :o
Princezna Dolly weather it was intentional or accident I think it made it more powerful a better to the scene
It must have been an accident becuase you can hear her go "oh my god!"
She tripped on the pistol
that little laugh when she said Our Love is God ❤
I always cringe so hard at 2:19 when she tries to grab his hand but misses
Paige Yah no need to point it out
I didn't even realise until you said
Milasia me neither, now I see it every time
this rendition of Our Love Is God is absolutely wonderful!! ❤️👍🏽 great job to all the actors who participate in this great show! keep it up!
I'd like to the the full version of this rendition!
This is so amazing and literally perfect, it captures their relationship and all the fear and toxicity in their relationship
Dude I would do anything to be able to work with him great Jd but the Veronica was great too
Comment #10,123,232,042,232,234,585,385,seven about how good JD is, but holy gosh. He definitely gets that unstable dangerous vibe in much more than the others I've seen. It may be stylistic to this production, but it's perfect.
This JD is really rough with Veronica… he's the best JD omg!
valeria medrano I’d say he plays out the controlling aspect of the character more
This Veronica and J.D are really awesome!
My new obsession😭
Who plays kurt? He's hot! So is JD.
the stripping was so funny
The chemistry though-
Everything about this is amazing
WHICH JD ACTOR IS THIS
Chet Davino. He's really good.
Thank you; this is how we find the good actors! Look up Heathers productions
5:43
ok wow I wasn't sold on this JD initially just because I feel like he doesn't sing with many dynamics everythings just kinda loud but
holy shit when he caught her, and the face grab, and the hair pull
he is so much more like slater's original JD than literally anybody else I've ever seen
im killing myself silently because this playhouse is VERY close to me. I COULD'VE FUCKING SAW THIS BUT I DIDN'T HEAR ABOUT IT.
Lunar Bunny ME TOOOOOO
Thta save thooo
IM LAUGHING SO HARD . when she tripped i tought yep there goes but then the guy playing jd just fucking killed it with that professionalism
"Hey let's shoot them with fake bullets"
"Those were real bullets"
"oops"
Also, 5:29
AHHHHH THIS IS MY FAVORITE JD ^^
someone get me a jd without the psychopathic murderer thing asap
Eliza .....? But then that wouldn’t be him??
@@Rivenlore99 I think she means how loving he seems to Veronica when he's not being a psychopath
Milasia True, but that’s kinda built into his character. I do wonder what he’d be like without that though. I mean what is his personality besides that?
Who is the actor for Kurt?
5:30 Veroinca's gotta be trippin' on shoes now
LOL
Still can’t decide if that trip was planned or not...
Maddy It wasn't
Great a remake
I’m so glad Veronica didn’t wipe out! Very good save.
JD is Castiel?
HE IS A TRUE ANGEL THAT VOICE IS JESUS HOLY FUCK ME GENTLY WITH A CHAINSAW
NO THATS CHET DAVINO
SHE TRIPPED OVER THE GUN
I'M FUCKING DEAD
If JD wasn't a psychopath he would honestly be great
I care here to see Kurt in his underwear tbh
Ram THICC
5:29 was that fall part of it?
☝️☝️✌️
OH MY GOSH. EVERYTHING EVEN THE FALL SAVE. ITS SO CRISTIAN SLATER. OMG.
I keep mistaking JD for Castiel from this angle.
I thought it was castiel for a moment becouse the trench coat
This Veronica isn’t the best singer but her acting is good!
So, in the musical, did Kurt and Ram beat up JD?
I think so in the "Blue reprise" but I am not sure
tHat VioLiN iS gOAls foR mE
Ram be a thicc boi
That catch was oof
THAT SAVE THOUGH! I never liked this version, but I've got to give it to them. They played off the fuck-ups pretty well
Is it weird that I watch this only for kurt and ram
That save made me love this jd to a whole new level
