I love how the Doctor is so inherently scary/intimidating but he's really just a giant gentle dork.
The best kind of character, honestly. It's one thing to have a hard shell and soft interior, that's almost a staple character at this point. Eldritch Abomination with an adorable/cute hobby, on the other hand, is fresh and exciting.

I love that Stevens’s eyes weren’t magically restored, an injury like that would definitely leave you blind. Its so cool that these guys are receiving permanent changes to their looks and bodies as the story goes on, because it feels like an actual journey where things happen to them that don’t just go away. And at least his new head helmet thing looks cool :)
Just put some cybernetics into the boi already
Almost like this was Netys plan the entire time to redesign them - not by simply changing the characters but by giving them opportunities to change.
@@WithinAnonymity I wish that Steven will hopefully get cybernetic eyes. It's possible, since Neytirix really likes to use cybernetics a lot.
I also love how their changes are opposites to each other. Only Steven's eyes were irreversibly damaged, so only his eyes are covered. Meanwhile, Marie's entire body is now covered in bandages, EXCEPT for her eyes (and the flower lol). Incredible storytelling overall.
And they wanted to avoid a redesign… it’s an ironic fate

The doctor did genuinely help here, even with the set back of not getting what he finds joy in. He did still fix Steven's damage, even if he couldn't restore his eyes.
A bit haunting to look at, but the doctor has a heart of gold, and barely asks for anything in return.
Well he did have more than one pin maker. So it could be assumed after the operations, he made the pins.

@@Rogerv1032 Worth also noting, he takes responsibility for the broken one as an oversight on his part, not the wee mare's. And yeah, he agrees with her that they'll try again later, while he bandaged her up and made sure she was alright.

When the doctor showed his pin collection I actually spat out my drink and laughed my ass off. It got better when he was showing off his collection and Steven couldn't believe what he was being told.

I love how the Doctor is as capable as can be, but just has this habit of saying things in the most sinister, ominous way possible, so you always feel like he's going to ask for something horrific of you but then he just- does what he's supposed to as best as he can.
Also completely forgot Marie's glow in the dark effect was actually corrosive/nuclear radiation.
It's really interesting how the doctor is honest, reliable and seemingly genuinely kind.

Man I lost it there. His obsession with collectible pins in amidst of the disturbing and terrifying body horror is so brilliant. Bravo.
Sometimes, people aren't that lucky to have multiple pin makers. But, for the types of pins he's making, it makes sense to have spares for emergencies. Seeing how Neytirix's world is like, I guess it makes all the more sense scary and anomalous beings having a more mundane/sweet/charming side to them.

I absolutely love how your animations can turn from horryfing horror into wholesome comedy with blink of an eye.

Sometimes I ask myself why I watch this channel, then immediately remind myself that I'm oddly intrigued and simultaneously horrified of this whole story line.
I mean, the actual redesign content is good too. And the model builds. Just a ton of creativity all around.
I like how the doctor isn't evil and is genuinely kind and helpful doing his best to make the duo are ok. Also him loving pins is adorable

@@HappyGingerWolf It should, but for some, the mechanical device on Steven's head can through off and spook some people. Marie still has that radioactive ability she can't control which can harm others around her and herself. While they are both injured, they still have...quirks that can bring out sympathy for some and scare others.
I'm sorry, but the Skillshare Pufferfish is both terrifying in looks and behavior.

The pin and stamp community must be proud to have such a chill and dedicated member, simply gushing about the things the doctor is passionate about. Plus the voice acting for the doctor adds a charm and fits the character a lot!
another surprise added to this series. It was honestly so adorable that a giant, robotic, seemingly emotionless doctor had a cute pin collection hidden under his dark draping cloak, surprisingly their voice seemed so vibrant and happy when he shared his pin collection to the two babies.
I absolutely love it!
I love how he genuinely feels kind of sorry that he can’t restore the little guys eyes, but he still did what he could to help out.

I love this Doctor. Despite appearing so intimidating and it feels like a generic "Mad Scientist"
He's so relaxed and genuinely kind. Incredibly patient and understanding, like an actual doctor. Even when details are kept from him until he finds out, he just rolls with it and continues helping.
Very nice approach to not judging a book by its cover. I love how wholesome it was.
The "Shock" was more about the predicament of the Ponies than the Doctor. Which is kinda surreal cause it's no different than real life. The scariest things are just awful, random scenario's that happen to good people due to happenstance.
I really liked this.
He feels like a doctor you would find in real life.

This story is actually so much better than most of the series/movies nowadays that are written, acted and edited by professionals with millions of dollars as funds; and then there's this masterpiece that uses about 100 dollars as funds and draws everything by herself
I don't care how long I have to wait between uploads it's always worth it when its coming from Neytirix's talented hands.

She really makes each character charming and draws you deeper into the story with each video
the voice acting is outstanding as always. The sound effects too, it makes you really feel the mood and vibes of the scenes
The way the Doctor is so scary and intimidating yet so kindhearted, caring, and loving is just a great blend of personality into a character. And the way when he moves there's the sound of cracking bones adds to that terror but it's instantly washed out to how happy he is with his pin collection.
This channel is amazing. I discovered it when "He's Awake" popped up in my recommended videos. So I watched it. Then I watched the OC redesign series. Then I watched every video in chronological order. The art is beautiful and I have honestly never laughed so hard in a while. Thank you for making this great channel.

This was actually pretty cute, imagine if Marie got some posca's and just drew art on Steven's head piece when they're relaxing. Little flowers and smily faces and stuff. Plus the doctor seems really sweet.

I love the doctor to DEATH. Scrambling to set up my new laptop to draw him... he's such a big dork! I absolutely love the mix of contrasting themes. Say the Raabit of Caerbannog. Bunnies are adorable and innocent, and making them into violent killers is hilarious. Punk killer with pink kawaii stickers, mecha giant with a little puppy. Anythign intimidating with a soft side, or anything soft with a dark side is my JAM.

I love the "Doctor" character. I love how he - despite scary looking and tbh shady at first glance - is still a good doctor with amazing skills, amazing enough that he can remove and replace Steven's "face implant" whilst carefully maintaining his face's condition fully knowing he can't fully cure him. I also love how he's trying to find ways for Marie and Steven to be at their most comfortable condition s despite their situation. All in exchange for pins.
No wonder the pin collecting community has accepted him. Actually one of the best characters I know of. Great work Neytirix!

Now I wonder, what could've made the Doctor got into collecting pins?
probably just neytrix gifting one to him, as he is their "family doctor" after all (among having other patients) (shown in one of the previous episodes), and he just going seeking more ever since learning of them...
afaik, neytrix (the character, aka "deformed child", lol) isn't intentionally hurting anyone, she's simply not aware of all the pain happening behind her back, among other things, is shown to really care about restoring demo-dog, for example...not just reinstalling a brand new one (even if pirated), which would be good enough, if torturing OCs was the main goal...
I love how demented and disturbing your art and story can appear yet it still has this wholesome feel to it
I love how you've crafted a compelling story, having me gripping the edge of my seat only to be pleasantly surprised and charmed.
Is it weird that I never felt scared or worried of what the doctor would do, I get he’s big and looks scary but I never actually felt afraid instead I felt this strange happiness which a good example is that I just caught myself smiling before he showed what he wanted from them (I didn’t say what he wants because that would be spoilering. This video was great and it had my day, thank you for your amazing animation and I like the way that you may draw stuff that looks grim or scary but you somehow always put it in a good light just like the saying “never judge a book by it’s cover” which I think it’s a amazing way you do this as it’s very unique.

One of the less taxing bargains made with a doctor/creepy entity.
The doctor looks so intimidating that the reveal for their price for operating on Steven was not entirely surprising, but hilariously wholesome nonetheless. This was a nice, still dark, but nice respite from the ongoing horror of Mare and Steven's story and I love the lore building around this new character. As always, hitting it outta the ball park with these on art, animation and storytelling with just the perfect balance of wholesomeness, humor and dark elements for me to thoroughly enjoy the experience every time. Also, just a tad bit less wanting to cry for those two OCs since the vent episode, but not 0% ^^'

The animation in this one is especially well done. I can only imagine how long it must have taken to create that many frames, and color them as well. All the work was worth it, this is awesome.
