I haven't watched yet so I don't know if it really is a compilation of videos, but if I wanted to make a 10 hour video, which is kinda long for most video cameras in terms of battery life, I would buy a battery bank and hook it up once the battery got low while recording, completely seamless and put it in my pocket with a long lead, problem solved.
I love these kind of videos because it gives me an opportunity to see different cities. I can't travel as I don't have the money to do so so I can see different places thanks for uploading this
Janice Rigsbee. Same here. I want to go to NY so bad..... can't afford it, and, as years went by always something taking your money, so couldn't do it. Sure can't go there with not enough money....so, keep hoping to win lotto or something?? haha. Better hurry, not getting any younger. (。•́︿•̀。)
Actually RUclips gives an extra second to videos for some reason. In fact when I play the entire video and there’s a replay button, it says 10:00:00 not 10:00:01 . So actually no you’re wrong. I also know this because I have made videos on a different account and when I edited it, it was 36 seconds exactly, but when I posted it to RUclips, it was 37 seconds.
Oh wow! Love it. Seriously, for someone who has never been to NYC (& who desperately wants to), this is fantastic! You have now caused me to waste 10 hours tomorrow, but I don't mind that! Hope to see you in NYC for real, sometime soon!
This gave me an idea to film some rain walks this spring and combine them for a nice relaxing sleep video. Out of all the stuff I post, I find myself falling asleep to your soothing walking tours some nights. (not implying they are boring, lol)
I gave it a try today in this snow storm but failed. The Gopro chest mount is too rough when walking, not smooth like in your vids... and even though I have a good audio recorder all I kept getting were airplanes lifting off from Newark every 5 minutes. Guess I have some trial and error to move through. I live in Staten Island and liked the tour your did of my neighborhood too :) Watching your Bay Ridge post in a few.
I am so happy to have stumbled across your many videos. I was born on Long Island but my parents moved south within a year of my birth. For many years I had vague plans to meet a 'city savvy' friend in NYC. I have always been fascinated by NYC and wanted to experience being there at least once. It never happened and now, due to health issues, it will never happen. Your videos have given me the very best next thing. So enjoyable and enlightening as well. Thank you for what you do!
What got me turned onto your channel was the subway stuff! These walk tour videos is still very interesting to me, never once thought of what its like to walk the city! Its like you kno how to catch interest of those who doesnt live there
In the early 70’s I hitched to N.Y. . Got dropped off in the north of Manhattan. I walked all the way to the southern tip. I will never forget what I saw . It was an incredible experience for a California boy. When I was asked where I was from,I had to answer all kinds of questions about California, they couldn’t believe I had hitched cross country. Ended up doing it again a couple years later. Same experience.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I have completed 10 hours of seeing ,somerime i realised that i am present in newyork time square and also with you and seeing everything ,Thank you very much for this type of video
Thank You Action Kid. I do appreciate how you take the time in showing us NY. I watched some of your short take on cycling in the city. When I was a twentysomething, I cycled around my home town and used it in the summer one year to go back and forth to work;
I just want to personally Thank You for this video. Even those who can't make it to NYC on their own, well, thanks to you, ActionKid we can! Now I've seen NYC! It's virtually a dream come true! Love your videos! It really feels like I am actually there, walking the streets and touring. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Hey actionkid. I really appreciate your channel. I used to work at Rockefeller plaza and used to walk all over the place. I miss it everyday. Especially at Christmas time. Makes me feel like I am back there.
Great now i can say that ive been to New York City...and if they ask me what it was like i either show them this video and tell them this is my alternate account or i just describe the video in a few or i can just preten that i know what im talking about without even knowing anything...its GENIUS!!!!
They might see the channel's other videos, which would likely quickly disintigrate the legitimacy of your claim, probably then causing you to become a Reddit story.
At 4:11:27 I hear a Dutch familie talking (Dialect from provincie Zuid Limburg in The Netherlands) "Als je naar boven kijkt dan zie je..." means "When you look up yoy see..."
I was starting to feel concerned about the little one getting left behind at 2:50... So thank you to the kind lady with the shoulder bag who helped ou! ❤️
I appreciate this opportunity to walk all these streets again from my comfortable couch here in the beautiful foothills of California, I only wish that I could upload all the terrific sights, scenes, and experiences I witnessed while growing up there in the 1940s and 1950s.
I just moved to Pottsville I went to New York for the first time from Perth is a huge change that’s for sure the people their seem so busy but amazing idk why
AK - Now this area of NYC has a totally different feel to me. Take away the yellow cabs and the American sirens, and I would think that I was in a European city, like Frankfurt or Stuttgart, Germany. Wide boulevard, less people, and a lot of different architecture. Totally different from Nolita or SoHo or anywhere else. All of these areas of NYC are different, and I think a lot of people don't realize that. The City is not one big homogenous enclave. It's got F-L-A-V-O-R. Good video.
Do you happen to know i f those elevated tracks you showed might have been where that famolus car chase scene was filmed in the great movie "The French Connection" [1971], directed by William Friedken?
I’m in New York right now I’m leaving Thursday but there’s probably a 1 in a million Chances that I’ll be able to see you but great video man keep up the good work
Im not even five minutes in and I just wanna say that I really appreciate this video. My family doesnt have much money and ive always wanted to travel. Its always been my dream to go to a big city like New York City, Toronto, Tokyo or Downtown LA and walking around for hours. But I cant afford that and im always to tired or lazy. This is my dream in a video. Thank you.
My family and I stayed in a penthouse at 1600 Broadway (just past Sbarro's) in April of 2013; my 3rd time in NY. I got lost every time I left the apartment. Now I am laughing at myself for being so lame. It is a very fancy building with security guards and a doorman. I got in trouble for going to the lobby in socks. The New Year's ball was visible from the apartment.
I LOVE this. Just did my first hour. I needed something different while running on my treadmill. I tried some country road videos.... Kinda boring. Can't wait to come back for hour 2!
he walked for 10 hours but divided the time into 8 separate days. so maybe a little over an hour every day. its healthy. ive been doing it for the past week

I feel appreciated that I can help you walk through NYC with the help of my camera
that made my legs itch, and it wasnt the RLS
Glad they give you some joy.
❤️
Aww man then i say that my feet hurt cause of walking too much.
Damn. What kind of battery system is this black magic
Louis Y It's a compilation of several videos. Great option to zone out and fall asleep to NY noises. :)

I'm from New Zealand and it's a small country. I can't get over how you can walk for hours in any direction and still be in New York.
10 hours and 1 second....... you lied
Sorry I lied about the one second extra 😂
I can't trust actionkid any more after this. ;-)

Thank you for making this. I really enjoy a city walk, over a wood trail. So much more going on and it keeps the attention.
I like how google's adds give up after an hour.
I actually designed it like that. Figured if someone is going to sit through a whole hour with ads they don’t need to see any more 😂
New York is amazing! Excellent views of the city and people doing what they're doing.
Thanks for the relaxed tour.
